Alcantara is a unique composite material that is often used to cover and upholster interior surfaces in prestige and performance cars. Alcantara combines a soft, enveloping quality with high wear resistance and incredible ease of maintenance, providing that appropriate cleaning methods and products are used. On a weekly basis, you should simply aim to dust all Alcantara surfaces down using a soft brush and/or a vacuum cleaner fitted with a suitable brush. Once or twice a year, you should clean all Alcantara surfaces more thoroughly, to remove bodily oils and ingrained dirt and grime. On such occasions we recommend the use of Swissvax Alcanta, as it comprises a water-based cleaning solution that is designed to gently lift general soiling away without any need for significant wetting of the surfaces being cleaned.

Seat covers and interior surfaces trimmed with Alcantara are relatively robust and hard-wearing, although care is needed when it comes to routine cleaning. The use of conventional fabric cleaners is generally problematic, as they typically contain chemicals and solvents that can weaken Alcantara fibres and damage the ultra-fine pile. Swissvax Alcanta is designed to address this problem, as it comprises a very mild, solvent-free, biodegradable cleaning solution that is designed to safely and effectively lift everyday soiling from Alcantara surfaces without any need for significant wetting or over-enthusiastic agitation. Unlike many automotive fabric cleaners, Swissvax Alcanta doesn't contain any detergents, toxic organics, phosphates, nitrates or caustics, which makes it non-hazardous, non-flammable, non-toxic, non-explosive, non-fuming, non-caustic and absolutely ideal for cleaning delicate Alcantara surfaces.

How To Use
Swissvax Alcanta comes pre-diluted to the correct strength for safe use on all Alcantara surfaces, and should thus be used neat. For stain removal, it should be sprayed directly on to affected areas and then agitated gently using a Swissvax Cleaning Brush. This will produce a weak lather, which may discolour as any soiling is released. The lather should then be mopped up with a Swissvax Micro-Absorb Towel, and the surfaces left to dry naturally. For general cleaning duties, Swissvax Alcanta should be sprayed on to a Swissvax Micro-Absorb Towel and then worked into the Alcantara thoroughly with a dabbing action, before being mopped up with a second Swissvax Micro-Absorb Towel and left to dry naturally.
