We Say
R222 Metal Polishing Soap is a traditional approach to metal care that’s been largely forgotten in favour of modern pastes and liquids. Rather than relying on aggressive abrasives, it uses a gentle polishing soap to clean and brighten bare metals in a very controlled way.
This makes it particularly well suited to classic cars, motorcycles and exposed metal components where you want to improve appearance without removing excessive material. Chrome, stainless steel and untreated metals respond especially well, with oxidation and staining lifted while the underlying surface remains intact.
The application process is slower and more deliberate than modern metal polishes, but that’s very much the point. It encourages careful, low-risk cleaning rather than rapid cutting, which is often exactly what older or delicate metal finishes need.
In our opinion, this is a product for people who value preservation as much as appearance. If you’re working on classic or sensitive metal surfaces and want a safer, more traditional way to maintain them, this earns its place in the range.
