We Say
Bring rubber floor mats and plastic flooring back to life without leaving them greasy or slippery. Exactly how interior care should be.
Rubber floor mats are some of the most hardworking parts of a vehicle interior. They collect muddy shoes, road salt, water and everyday dirt, yet keeping them looking good can be surprisingly frustrating. Many conventional plastic and rubber dressings leave behind a glossy or slippery finish, which is the last thing you want on a surface that's constantly underfoot.
Koch-Chemie Gummifix is specifically designed to overcome that problem. It's a non-greasy, silicone-oil-free rubber and plastic dressing developed for interior surfaces where slip resistance matters. Rather than coating floor mats in a shiny residue, it restores a clean, refreshed appearance while maintaining a more natural finish.
What we particularly like is that Gummifix serves a genuinely different purpose from most exterior trim and tyre dressings. Products such as Koch-Chemie Plast Star are intended for exterior plastics and rubber. Gummifix, on the other hand, is particularly useful for rubber foot mats, plastic floors and other compatible interior areas where a greasy dressing would be inappropriate.
This makes it especially useful in daily drivers, family cars, vans and commercial vehicles. These interiors frequently have large rubber or plastic floor sections, and restoring their appearance without adding unnecessary shine makes a noticeable difference.
Application is refreshingly straightforward. Start with clean, dry surfaces, then apply Gummifix evenly using a sponge or suitable spray bottle. Allow the dressing to dry completely before returning the mats to use. There's no need for complicated dilution or machine application.
We'd still recommend testing a small area before treating an entire mat or floor covering. Different rubber and plastic compounds can react differently to care products, and any surface where grip is essential deserves particular attention.
For us, Gummifix fills an important gap in the Koch-Chemie range. It makes tired rubber floor mats and plastic flooring look fresh again without the unwanted greasy finish associated with many conventional dressings. A simple, practical product that solves a genuine interior detailing problem.

How To Use
1) Clean the surface:
Thoroughly clean rubber floor mats or compatible plastic flooring to remove dirt, road salt, previous dressings and other contamination. Rinse away cleaner residue as appropriate.
2) Allow to dry:
Ensure the treated surfaces are completely dry before applying Gummifix. Always test an inconspicuous area for compatibility first.
3) Apply evenly:
Using a clean sponge or suitable spray bottle, distribute Gummifix evenly over the surface. Avoid excessive application or unnecessary overspray onto surrounding components.
4) Allow the dressing to dry:
Leave the treated surfaces to dry completely. Ensure they feel clean and non-greasy before returning floor mats to the vehicle.
5) Inspect before use:
Check the treated material for a consistent finish and suitable grip. Do not use the treated mats or floor surfaces until completely dry.
