We Say

If you're looking for a polymer-based sealant that is easy to use and beads water like nothing else, then SOFT99 Water Block Wax is the product for you. It is the most hydrophobic (water-hating) last step product in the SOFT99 range, and produces beads that are exceptionally tall and round (even more so than those produced by Fusso Coat Wax and Fusso Coat F7, which are both revered for their incredible beading behaviour). With the exception of some some silica-based coatings (which are an entirely different proposition), nothing else in our store can match it. The beading produced by SOFT99 Water Block Wax is therefore best described as mesmerising, and begs to be photographed and shared; we've even had passers-by comment on it when our cars have been wearing it! In addition to the amazing water beading, it also produces an attractive wet-looking shine and typically lasts for upwards of four months at a time. We particularly favour using SOFT99 Water Block Wax over a basecoat of SOFT99 Fusso Coat F7; this combination offers outstanding durability and the tallest, roundest water beading we've ever seen!

Description

As its name implies, SOFT99 Water Block Wax is formulated specifically to deliver maximum water repellency. It achieves this using a waterproof resin suspended in a synthetic petroleum-based paste, which cures to form a durable layer of protection that is extremely hydrophobic (water-hating). As a result, rainfall and rinse water bead up and roll off almost instantly. This extreme beading not only looks good, but also tends to pick up and carry away fresh contaminants, which in turn makes routine washing easier and safer. In addition to these benefits, SOFT99 Water Block Wax also produces a sharp wet-looking shine and provides excellent protection against the elements for upwards of four months per application, even on daily drivers. As is often the case with Japanese last step products, two different versions of SOFT99 Water Block Wax are available (dark and light, for darker- and lighter-coloured cars respectively). The difference between them, however, is very subtle, and it's perfectly safe to experiment with either version on any given car if you wish.

How To Use

SOFT99 Water Block Wax should only be applied by hand. For best results, it should be applied to freshly cleansed paint (cleaned with either a strong panel wipe such as SOFT99 Silicone Off or Bilt Hamber cleanser-fluid, or, if a degree of minor defect correction and filling is required, an oil-free paint preparation product such as Bilt Hamber cleanser-polish) one to two panels at a time and as thinly and evenly as possible using either the supplied foam applicator pad or an Auto Finesse Waxmate XL (we favour the latter, as its finer pore structure spreads a thinner layer of the product, which makes it easier to buff off). Try to avoid getting it on unpainted trims, but if you do be sure to wipe it off straight away, otherwise staining may occur. The resulting film should then be left to cure for 5-10 minutes before being buffed off carefully using a PB Deluxe Buffing Towel. Don't be tempted to apply it too thickly or leave it to cure for longer than specified (if you do you may find it more difficult to remove).
