Description

The RUPES D-A INTERMEDIATE Foam Pad joins the RUPES D-A Series foam pad range, positioning in between D-A FINE yellow pad and D-A COARSE blue pad. It is the most versatile foam pad in the BigFoot range and can be used with several RUPES compounds, such as D-A COARSE and D-A FINE as well as UNO ADVANCED and UNO PROTECT.

It has the polishing power to remove severe defects from a wide variety of painted and solid surfaces when paired with RUPES D-A COARSE blue compound.

When used with RUPES D-A FINE yellow polishing compound, it removes moderate-to-fine defects and creates a high-gloss finish.

The highly engineered foam formula really shines when paired with UNO PROTECT or UNO ADVANCED for final polishing and creating a durable layer of protection.

How To Use

General usage notes:

(i)Always select the least aggressive pad you think you will need to achieve the desired result, and step up one grade at a time if more cut is required.
(ii)Always ensure that you centre each pad properly on the backing plate (this can take several attempts to get right, but is vital if the machine is to remain perfectly balanced during use).
(iii)Always use an appropriate sized pad for the backing plate you are using (the pad should always protrude past the edge of the backing plate, never the other way around).
(iv)Always prime a new pad by loading it with 2-6 pea-sized drops of product (depending on pad size) and running it stationary on the paint for 30 seconds at speed 1.
(v)Always ensure that spent polish residue on the face of the pad is brushed off regularly during use using a RUPES BigFoot Claw Pad Tool (failure to follow this advice can lead to micromarring of the finish.
(vi)After use, clean the pads with warm water and mild soap(using your fingertips to massage out any remaining polish residue), rinse with running water and allow to dry naturally.
(vii) While not in use, store in a dry, dust-free environment (lidded plastic storage boxes are ideal in this respect).

Tips for succes:

Clean pads frequently during use with compressed air, a vacuum or a Rupes Claw Pad Tool to maintain consistent performance.

Do not over-saturate the pad with compound. Too much compound can lead to diminished performance.

Avoid the use of solvent based compounds and cleaners to prevent damage to the foam cell structure.
