We Say
A proper pressure sprayer for acidic cleaners, combining chemical-resistant seals with adjustable spray control for more precise application.
When you're working with specialist cleaning chemicals, the equipment used to apply them is every bit as important as the cleaner itself. That's particularly true of acidic products, which can cause problems with seals and components that aren't designed to handle them.
Koch-Chemie Pressure Sprayer Acid 1.5L is a purpose-built hand-pump sprayer designed for compatible acidic and pH-neutral cleaning products. Rather than relying on an ordinary trigger bottle, it allows you to build pressure manually and apply a consistent spray without repeatedly squeezing a trigger.
The most important feature is something you can't immediately see: its FPM seals. These are specifically selected for compatibility with acidic cleaning products, making this sprayer a more appropriate choice than the EPDM-equipped alkaline sprayers when using suitable acid-based wheel cleaners.
What we particularly like is the adjustable spray head. Wheel cleaning often involves trying to reach awkward areas, including the inner barrel, behind spokes and around brake components. Being able to adjust the direction of the spray makes application much easier without constantly repositioning your hand.
The nozzle is adjustable too, allowing you to change the spray pattern from a fine mist to a more concentrated jet. This gives you greater control over where the cleaner goes and how much of the surrounding area becomes wet.
For aggressive acidic chemicals, we'd generally favour a more controlled spray rather than deliberately creating an excessively fine mist. Reducing airborne spray is particularly important when working around the face, in enclosed areas or outdoors in windy conditions.
The 1.5L capacity makes this a practical option for detailers who regularly prepare and use diluted wheel cleaners or other compatible chemicals. Remember, though, that a pressure sprayer needs sufficient air space to operate, so the marked maximum filling level and supplied operating instructions should always take priority over the nominal capacity.
It's also worth understanding what this sprayer isn't designed for. Unlike the foam sprayers used for vehicle pre-washing, this model produces a conventional liquid spray rather than foam. It's also not the correct choice for alkaline degreasers or strong alkaline wheel cleaners.
After use, Koch-Chemie recommends releasing the pressure and rinsing the sprayer with warm water. This is a simple habit that helps prevent unnecessary chemical exposure and keeps the equipment ready for its next use.
For us, the Pressure Sprayer Acid is a sensible investment for anyone regularly working with compatible acid-based cleaning products. The combination of FPM seals, adjustable spray control and a robust pump-action design makes it much more suitable for demanding wheel cleaning than a generic household spray bottle.
Key Features
Description
The Koch-Chemie Pressure Sprayer Acid 1.5L is a robust manual pump sprayer developed for controlled application of suitable acidic and pH-neutral cleaning chemicals.
Featuring specialist FPM seals, the sprayer is designed to withstand compatible acidic cleaning products. Its adjustable spray head helps reach awkward areas, while the adjustable nozzle allows the spray pattern to be changed between fine atomisation and a more concentrated liquid jet.
Part of the Koch-Chemie Pressure Sprayer Series, this practical accessory is particularly useful for professional wheel cleaning and other applications where conventional trigger sprayers may not provide sufficient control or chemical compatibility.
Why you'll love it:
✓ Robust 1.5L manual pressure sprayer
✓ Developed for compatible acidic and neutral cleaners
✓ Specialist chemical-resistant FPM seals
✓ Adjustable nozzle, from mist to concentrated jet
✓ Adjustable spray head for awkward areas
✓ Particularly useful for specialist wheel cleaning
✓ Manually pressurised for convenient application
✓ No external air supply or electricity required
✓ Helps provide more controlled chemical application
✓ Easy to rinse and maintain after use
✓ Supplied individually
For wheel cleaning: The adjustable spray head can be particularly useful when working around spokes and wheel barrels. Always ensure that both the cleaning chemical and the wheel finish are compatible, and follow the cleaner's dilution, dwell time and rinsing instructions.
Need a different type of sprayer? This acid-compatible model is intended for neutral and acidic liquids. For foam application or alkaline pre-washing, choose equipment designed for those chemical types instead. Explore our bottles and sprayers collection for other options.
Important: Do not use alkaline degreasers, solvent-based cleaners or other products outside the manufacturer's stated compatibility range. Acid resistance does not mean universal compatibility with every acidic formulation.

How To Use
1) Check chemical compatibility:
Only use neutral or acidic cleaning products that are suitable for the sprayer's FPM seals. Consult the chemical manufacturer's application instructions and Safety Data Sheet before use.
2) Prepare the cleaning solution:
Dilute the chosen cleaner in accordance with its instructions. Never mix different cleaning chemicals in the sprayer.
3) Fill the container:
Ensure the sprayer is depressurised, then fill to no higher than its marked maximum filling level. Allow sufficient space for pressurisation and close the container securely.
4) Adjust the spray head:
Position the adjustable spray head to suit the area being cleaned. This is particularly useful for accessing awkward sections of wheel barrels and other confined areas.
5) Build pressure:
Operate the manual pump in accordance with the supplied instructions. Never attempt to exceed the manufacturer's permitted working pressure.
6) Set the spray pattern:
Adjust the nozzle between a fine mist and a more concentrated jet as required. When using acidic chemicals, minimise airborne spray and avoid directing mist towards yourself or others.
7) Apply the cleaner:
Spray the product evenly onto the intended surface, following the chemical manufacturer's instructions for dilution, contact time and material compatibility. Avoid uncontrolled overspray.
8) Rinse the treated surface:
Remove the cleaning chemical thoroughly according to its instructions. Never allow aggressive cleaners to dry on the surface.
9) Release the pressure:
When finished, safely depressurise the sprayer in accordance with its operating instructions before opening the container.
10) Rinse and store:
Rinse the sprayer thoroughly with warm water, as recommended by Koch-Chemie. Store clean, depressurised and protected from damage.
