How To Use
1) Thoroughly wash the vehicle:
Begin by washing the vehicle to remove dirt, road film and existing contamination. Koch-Chemie recommends an alkaline cleaning stage, such as a suitable dilution of Green Star, rather than using a protection-enhancing shampoo before application.
2) Decontaminate the paintwork:
Remove bonded contamination such as tar, tree resin and industrial fallout using appropriate chemical cleaners and detailing clay where required. Ensure the surface is clean before proceeding with any polishing work.
3) Inspect and correct the paintwork:
Inspect the paintwork under suitable lighting. Where necessary, correct scratches, oxidation and other defects using an appropriate polishing compound. For heavier defects, consider Koch-Chemie H9.02 Heavy Cut. For moderate imperfections, Koch-Chemie F6.01 Fine Cut provides effective correction, while Koch-Chemie M3.02 Micro Cut can be used for final refinement. Choose the appropriate polishing process according to the condition and hardness of the paintwork.
4) Remove polishing residues:
Thoroughly remove any remaining polishing compound using clean, suitable microfibre towels. Inspect the surface for remaining holograms, scratches or other defects before continuing.
5) Degrease the paintwork:
Koch-Chemie recommends wiping the surface with Silicone & Wax Remover diluted 1:4 with water. Work gently using a clean microfibre towel, immediately following with a second clean towel before the solution dries. This removes remaining oils, surfactants and residues that could interfere with the wax's sealing components.
6) Complete the final inspection:
Inspect the paintwork under suitable lighting to ensure it is clean and free from visible defects. Once prepared, avoid touching the paintwork with bare hands, as oils from the skin can contaminate the surface. Wear suitable gloves during application.
7) Apply the wax:
Using the supplied application sponge, lightly press the applicator into the wax and spread a thin, even layer across the paintwork. Avoid excessive product application, as only a small amount is required.
8) Allow the wax to flash:
Allow the wax film to flash off in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Work on individual sections rather than applying the product to the entire vehicle at once.
9) Buff to a high gloss:
Using a clean, soft microfibre towel, carefully remove the wax residue and buff the surface to a clear, high-gloss finish. Use minimal pressure and switch to a clean towel as required.
10) Maintain the protection:
To preserve the finish, wash the vehicle gently using plenty of water, a soft wash mitt and a suitable maintenance shampoo. Avoid unnecessarily aggressive cleaning methods that could shorten the life of the wax.
