How To Use
1) Thoroughly clean the vehicle:
Wash the vehicle using a suitable alkaline cleaner to remove existing dirt, road film and other contamination. Avoid protection-enhancing shampoos before application. Where necessary, remove bonded contamination using suitable chemical decontamination products and detailing clay.
2) Correct and refine the paintwork:
Inspect the paintwork and remove scratches, oxidation and holograms using suitable machine polishing products. As 1K-Nano contains no abrasives, any existing defects should be corrected before applying the sealant.
3) Degrease the surface:
Wearing suitable protective gloves, thoroughly remove polishing oils, silicone residues and other contamination using Koch-Chemie's recommended Silicon- & Wachsentferner and clean, ultrasonically cut microfibre cloths. Follow the manufacturer's specific instructions, including any necessary dilution for sensitive single-stage finishes. Avoid touching the prepared paintwork afterwards.
4) Prepare the sealant:
Work indoors in a well-ventilated environment at a temperature between 15°C and 30°C. Shake the aluminium bottle thoroughly and transfer approximately 75ml into the supplied application bottle. This quantity is normally sufficient for a medium-sized vehicle.
5) Apply the sealant:
Working one panel at a time, apply 1K-Nano using a free-spinning dual-action polisher fitted with a suitable soft finishing pad. Use a low machine speed and overlapping passes, working the product for approximately 2–3 minutes while continuing to apply fresh sealant as required. Alternatively, apply manually using the recommended soft applicator without pressure.
6) Work the protective film:
Stop adding fresh product and continue working the existing sealant until a continuous, even film forms without visible runs or droplets. This helps ensure uniform distribution of the reactive ingredients across the surface.
7) Allow to dry and buff:
Wait approximately 2–3 minutes, then carefully remove the dried film using a clean, suitable microfibre cloth. Buff the surface to a uniform high-gloss finish.
8) Allow the sealant to cure:
Leave the vehicle indoors while the protective layer reacts and hardens. Initial curing takes approximately 1–2 hours. Do not wash the vehicle for at least three days after application.

Storage:
Return any unused sealant to the original aluminium container immediately after application. Seal the container tightly and store upright. Koch-Chemie specifies an approximate shelf life of one year after opening.
