Enjoy a beautifully glossy finish with added water-repellent protection every time you wash.

    ”

There's something particularly satisfying about washing your car and seeing the water bead up beautifully as you rinse it down. It's a good sign that there's water-repellent protection on the paintwork, and it makes the whole washing and drying process that bit more enjoyable. Of course, not everyone wants to apply a separate wax or sealant after every wash, which is where a good wash-and-protect shampoo comes in.

Koch-Chemie THE FINISHER MagicShampoo is designed to make maintaining that glossy, protected finish really easy. It combines everyday cleaning ingredients with sealing components, so you're not simply washing away dirt; you're also leaving behind a water-repellent layer that helps maintain the appearance and protection of your paintwork.

What we particularly like is how it simplifies regular maintenance. Rather than treating washing and protection as two completely separate jobs, MagicShampoo allows you to combine them. It's a great option for anyone who enjoys keeping their car looking good but doesn't necessarily have the time for a lengthy detailing session every weekend.

After washing, the sealing components help create a hydrophobic surface, encouraging water to bead and run off the paintwork. That water-repellent effect can make subsequent washing and drying easier, while the dirt-repellent properties help reduce how readily everyday grime clings to the finish.

There are useful benefits for vehicles that already have protection applied, too. Koch-Chemie specifically designed MagicShampoo to maintain existing sealants, and the manufacturer explains that regular use helps build up the protective effect. We wouldn't regard it as a replacement for a dedicated long-term paint sealant or ceramic coating, but it's a convenient way of adding a little extra protection during routine maintenance.

Application is refreshingly straightforward. Koch-Chemie recommends adding 50ml of MagicShampoo to 10 litres of water for a conventional hand wash. That's enough to make a proper bucket of wash solution without having to work out complicated dilution ratios. The shampoo can also be used through a suitable foam cannon, although the manufacturer doesn't specify a universal foam-cannon dosage.

We'd particularly recommend MagicShampoo to customers looking for a maintenance shampoo that does more than simply clean. If your priority is a completely residue-free wash before applying a new coating, a pure shampoo would be more appropriate. However, if you want to keep your daily driver glossy, protected and easy to maintain, the added sealing properties make plenty of sense.

For us, MagicShampoo is a great example of what THE FINISHER range does well. It brings together cleaning, gloss enhancement and water-repellent protection in one easy-to-use product. A straightforward shampoo that makes your car look great and gives you a little extra protection every time you wash it? We can certainly see the appeal.

Key Features

Cleaning Strength
8/10
(Everyday dirt & grime)

Gloss Enhancement
9/10
(Radiant paint finish)

Protection
8/10
(Hydrophobic sealant)

Description

Wash, shine and protect your car in one easy step with Koch-Chemie THE FINISHER MagicShampoo, a gloss-enhancing car shampoo that combines effective cleaning with water-repellent paint protection.

Its special formula contains cleaning and sealing components that remove everyday dirt and grime while leaving behind a hydrophobic layer.
