The trouble is that everyday use, sunlight and dust can gradually leave these surfaces looking tired and faded. A good interior dressing is the finishing touch that helps bring everything back to life.

Koch-Chemie THE FINISHER InsideCare is designed to make that job straightforward. Rather than simply cleaning away dirt, it cares for and protects unpainted interior plastics, helping maintain their appearance and prevent premature fading. It's a simple way to keep your cabin looking smart without spending hours on the details.

What we particularly like is the finish. Some dashboard dressings leave behind an overly shiny, greasy appearance that looks anything but natural. InsideCare takes a different approach, creating a subtle satin-matt finish that enhances the colour of interior plastics without making them look excessively glossy.

That colour-enhancing effect is especially welcome on black and dark grey trim. Over time, these surfaces can start to look a little dull, even when they're perfectly clean. InsideCare helps restore a richer, more even appearance, giving the interior that freshly detailed look.

There's a useful protective benefit too. Koch-Chemie has formulated InsideCare to help protect against UV radiation and fading, which is particularly important for dashboards and other areas exposed to sunlight. It also helps prevent new soiling, making it easier to keep the interior looking its best between cleans.

Application couldn't be much easier. Simply apply a small amount to a soft sponge, spread it evenly across the appropriate plastic surfaces and allow it to dry completely. A final buff with a clean microfibre towel leaves a tidy, uniform finish. There's no complicated preparation or dilution required.

We'd recommend starting with a properly cleaned interior, especially if the surfaces are heavily soiled. A dedicated interior cleaner will remove fingerprints, grime and old product residues, allowing InsideCare to be used for what it does best: finishing and protecting the plastics.

One important point is that InsideCare isn't intended for every surface in the cabin. Koch-Chemie specifically advises against using it on navigation displays, instrument dials, high-gloss trim or safety-related components. Keep it for suitable unpainted plastics, where its satin-matt appearance and protective properties are most useful.

For us, THE FINISHER InsideCare is exactly the sort of product that makes maintaining a nice interior more enjoyable. It brings out the natural colour of the plastics, provides useful protection and leaves the sort of understated finish we prefer.
