Scuffs from shoes, rubber marks and ingrained stains can be particularly frustrating, especially when they're on a surface that would otherwise look perfectly clean.

Koch-Chemie Dirt Eraser Sponges are designed for precisely these situations. Originally named Schmutzradierer, they're specialist abrasive cleaning sponges that help remove stubborn contamination from suitable hard surfaces using water and gentle mechanical action.

Unlike a traditional soft sponge, these work through their mildly abrasive structure. That makes them surprisingly effective at lifting marks such as rubber deposits, ballpoint pen stains and certain greasy residues, often without the need for an additional cleaning product.

However, that abrasive action also means they need to be used with care. These aren't the sponges we'd reach for when washing paintwork, cleaning delicate piano-black trim or maintaining leather. Koch-Chemie specifically warns about possible matting on painted surfaces and colour changes on leather.

Application is straightforward. Moisten the sponge with water, gently work the affected area and inspect the result regularly. The sponge can be rinsed and reused while it remains clean and in good condition, although we'd replace it once it becomes heavily contaminated or worn.

We'd recommend keeping a pack in your detailing kit for occasional spot-cleaning jobs on suitably robust hard surfaces. They're inexpensive, easy to use and particularly handy for those awkward marks that standard microfibre towels struggle to remove. Just remember that effective cleaning doesn't necessarily mean a product is appropriate for every finish.

Key Features

 Cleaning Strength
 9/10
 (Stubborn surface marks)

 Ease of Use
 9/10
 (Just add water)

 Pack Quantity
 5 PACK
 (Abrasive sponges)

Description

Koch-Chemie Dirt Eraser Sponges are specialist abrasive cleaning sponges designed to remove stubborn stains and marks from suitable hard surfaces.
