While specialist towels certainly have their place for delicate paintwork, coating removal and final buffing, there are countless everyday cleaning tasks where a good-quality, general-purpose microfibre is exactly what you need. Interior plastics, door shuts, engine bays and general exterior cleaning all benefit from a towel that is practical, durable and economical enough to use regularly.

The Koch-Chemie Allrounder Towel has been developed with this type of work in mind. At 270 GSM, it has a relatively lightweight construction compared with plush finishing towels, making it particularly useful for wiping away cleaning solutions, removing light contamination and working around intricate interior and exterior surfaces. The 40 x 40 cm dimensions are also a familiar and practical size, offering enough material to fold into quarters and work with several clean sections.

What makes this towel particularly interesting is its construction. Koch-Chemie uses an 80/20 polyester and polyamide microfibre blend, with 80% recycled content derived from PET bottles. This gives the towel a useful sustainability advantage compared with conventional microfibres manufactured entirely from virgin materials, without changing the way it fits into a normal detailing routine.

The warp-knitted microfibre construction is another detail worth highlighting. This type of fabric provides a consistent cleaning surface with a relatively compact structure, making it well suited to general wiping and cleaning duties. Rather than relying on exceptionally long fibres, the Allrounder Towel focuses on versatility and practicality across a wide range of surfaces.

Koch-Chemie also incorporates rounded corners, which help avoid unnecessary sharp points around the towel's edges. However, it's worth remembering that this is primarily a general-purpose cleaning cloth rather than a dedicated ultra-soft finishing towel. For particularly delicate paintwork or the final removal of waxes and coatings, we would still recommend choosing a specialist microfibre designed specifically for those tasks.

Another advantage is the five-pack format. Having several identical towels available makes it easier to dedicate individual cloths to different jobs, helping prevent contamination from being transferred between areas. For example, you can keep separate towels for interior plastics, door shuts and general exterior cleaning rather than relying on the same cloth for everything.

For us, the Allrounder Towel is exactly the kind of accessory that makes sense in a well-organised detailing kit. It's practical, versatile and economical, with the added benefit of substantial recycled content. It isn't intended to replace your best polishing or drying towels, but for the dozens of routine cleaning jobs that make up a proper detail, it's a sensible product to have readily available.

Key Features

Fabric Weight
270 GSM
(General-purpose)

Recycled Content
80%
(Recycled PET)

Pack Size
5 Towels
(40 x 40 cm)

Description

The Koch-Chemie Allrounder Towel is a versatile, general-purpose microfibre cloth designed for a wide range of interior and exterior vehicle detailing applications.

Manufactured using an 80/20 polyester and polyamide blend, the towel features a lightweight 270 GSM warp-knitted construction that makes it particularly suitable for everyday cleaning, wiping and general vehicle preparation work.

Importantly, 80% of the material is recycled content derived from PET bottles, providing a more sustainable approach to microfibre manufacturing.

Each towel measures 40 x 40 cm and features rounded corners.
