We Say

One of the more common detailing-related grumbles we see popping up regularly on social media concerns water-based tyre dressings and their apparent lack of durability under typical UK driving conditions. While it is fair to say that many water-based tyre dressings struggle to adhere for any longer than a few weeks at a time, it is also fair to say that in many cases their durability is being compromised by the fact that the treated surfaces are not being cleaned properly in advance. To get the maximum durability out of any tyre or rubber dressing, we strongly recommend cleaning such surfaces with Gyeon Q²M TireCleaner first.

Description

Gyeon Q²M TireCleaner is a highly effective detergent-based cleaner for tyres and rubber trims. Such surfaces are often dressed without being properly cleaned first, which is counter-productive because contaminants are then distributed over the treated surface and carried into its pores, which reduces the durability of the dressing. This issue can be avoided if tyres and rubber trims are cleaned properly with Gyeon Q²M TireCleaner before the application of any dressings. Gyeon Q²M TireCleaner dissolves old dressing residues and draws out ingrained dirt and grime, leaving rubber surfaces squeaky-clean and ready to be dressed anew.

How To Use

Gyeon Q²M TireCleaner comes pre-diluted to the correct strength for safe use on all rubber surfaces, and should thus be used neat. For best results, we recommend that it is sprayed on liberally and then agitated thoroughly using suitable brushes and/or a microfibre wash mitt (ideal choices include the Atomiza Atlasta Parts Cleaning Brush and the Microfiber Madness Incrediflair). This will produce a rich foaming lather, which will quickly discolour as dirt and grime is drawn out of the rubber. After being left to dwell for a few minutes the lather should then be rinsed away and the tyres then dried before any dressing is applied.
