We Say

Simply outstanding. That's what we think of Bilt Hamber cleanser-polish. For a long time now, users of synthetic paint sealants have faced a dilemma when working on paint finishes in less than perfect condition. Do I spend a short amount of time simply cleaning the surface and then sealing it, leaving the defects visible, or do I spend a far longer amount of time correcting the defects fully first? This dilemma arises because synthetic sealants only adhere properly to squeaky-clean oil-free paint. Unlike natural waxes, which readily adhere to oil-rich surfaces, synthetic sealants fail to latch on and bond properly if oils and other surface enhancers (such as kaolin-clay fillers) are present. Therefore, using a glaze beneath a synthetic sealant for a quick visual fix remains a problematic issue. Bilt Hamber have solved this problem by formulating an oil-free all in one polish and protectant that incorporates cutting abrasives (to remove minor defects), fillers (to hide deeper defects) and acrylic polymers (to lay down protection). The result is a product that fixes and hides a multitude of defects while simultaneously laying down a basecoat of resin-based protection that can be topped with any sealant (or wax) you like. It's also incredibly easy to use. Like we said, simply outstanding!

Description

Bilt Hamber cleanser-polish is an award-winning, resin-based, all in one polish and protectant that simultaneously enhances and protects the appearance of automotive paint. It comprises a unique combination of diminishing abrasives, filling agents and resin-based polymers that combine to cut back minor defects, mask deeper defects and lay down an incredibly smooth, ultra-glossy, durable film of synthetic paint protection. As a result of being treated with Bilt Hamber cleanser-polish, tired and neglected paint finishes are visibly transformed, giving the illusion of having been almost fully corrected. Furthermore, they not only look amazing, but they also become water-hating (hydrophobic), which causes rainfall to bead up and roll off quickly. This not only looks superb, but also tends to wash away fresh contaminants, giving a partial self-cleaning effect. Bilt Hamber cleanser-polish normally offers up to three months of protection against the elements per application, but can be topped with any of the carnauba-based waxes in the Bilt Hamber range (and other sealants and waxes too) if greater durability is required. The firm glassy-looking layer of protection also provides good protection against bird droppings, bug splatter, brake dust, road salt and UV radiation from the sun.

How To Use

Bilt Hamber cleanser-polish can be applied equally well by hand or dual action machine. For best results by hand, it should be applied to freshly washed and decontaminated paint using either the supplied applicator pad or a SCHOLL Concepts Polishing Puck. Only 3-4 pea-sized drops of product are required per panel, and these should be worked in using light pressure to produce a film that should then be allowed to dry for several minutes. Once hazed over, this film should then be buffed off carefully using either the supplied buffing towel or a PB Super Buffing Towel. For best results using a dual action polisher, Bilt Hamber cleanser-polish should be applied using either a Gyeon Q²M Eccentric Polishing Pad or a Gyeon Q²M Eccentric Finishing Pad. Only 3-4 pea-sized drops of product are required per panel, and these should be worked in thoroughly at around 3000-4000 orbits per minute (speed 3-4 on most dual action machine polishers) until only a thin film remains. This film should then be left to haze over for several minutes before being buffed off using either the supplied buffing towel or a PB Super Buffing Towel.
