Wolf’s Chemicals Nano Rim Sealant is a nanotechnology coating that protects and beautifies alloy wheels. It works by laying down nano-scale chemicals to form a thin, ultra tough, glass-like coating. This coating is extremely resistant to the corrosive effects of brake dust and road salt, because it forms a physical barrier on the surface of the rim. Like many nanotechnology coatings, it is not particularly slick, so brake dust will still accumulate gradually in between washes. However, this dust will not gain purchase on the rim surface in the normal way, meaning it will remain easy to remove.

The benefits offered by Wolf’s Chemicals Nano Rim Sealant do not end with an ultra tough corrosion resistant finish. In addition, the glass-like coating is water hating (super hydrophobic), which causes water to bead up and roll off very quickly. This extreme beading not only looks good, but also helps to pick up and carry away fresh surface contaminants. This partial self cleaning effect helps to make routine cleaning easier as a result. Finally, the coating is also highly resistant to pressure washing and strong detergents, meaning its likely lifespan on cars used on a daily basis is four months plus.

You should apply Wolf’s Chemicals Nano Rim Sealant in a warm, dry place out of direct sunlight. In all cases, prepare the wheels you are going to treat in the normal way, and then do a wipe down with an appropriately diluted solution of Reagent Isopropyl Alcohol to ensure everything is squeaky clean. Next, lightly wet either a cotton make up pad or a Meguiar’s Microfibre Applicator Pad with the sealant and begin wiping it in evenly, using light pressure and overlapping strokes.

Once on, leave the sealant to cure for 15 minutes before buffing off. During this time a hazy film will gradually appear on the treated surfaces. When 15 minutes are up, buff off this film using a PB Super Buffing Towel to reveal an intense, streak-free shine. In order to get the best performance and quoted durability from the resulting finish, allow it to cure for a further 12 hours before getting wet.
