Wolf's Chemicals Heavy Cut Polish (WP-6S)
Sometimes even soft to intermediate paint finishes can prove difficult to correct, particularly when the defects are deep and nasty, and where the risk of micromarring looms (micromarring refers to a faint pattern of tightly defined swirl marks caused by unbroken down abrasives scouring the surface of the paint). If youve failed to achieve full correction with Wolfs Chemicals Correcting Compound, then its time to break out the biggest gun of all: Wolfs Chemicals Heavy Cut Polish. This aggressive compound is packed to the rafters with fragile, precision-milled, aluminium oxide particles, meaning that youll correct severe defects in no time at all. A word of warning though; this product should be treated with respect when used on soft to intermediate paint finishes...
Wolf's Chemicals Heavy Cut Polish is a coarse cutting compound designed to remove severe paint defects. It works by using precision-milled aluminium oxide particles to cut away a thin layer of paint. These particles are relatively fragile, and break down relatively quickly and easily during use. This makes Wolf's Chemicals Heavy Cut Polish ideal for hardcore correction work on soft and intermediate paint finishes, where severe micromarring can otherwise be a problem if more robust abrasives are used. Long lasting lubricants maximise its working time, while its filler-free formula ensures that defect removal is permanent rather than temporary.
You should only use Wolf's Chemicals Heavy Cut Polish by machine. For best results using a dual action polisher, work it with a Lake Country 140 mm Hydro-Tech Cutting Pad. Only 3-4 pea-sized drops of product are required per 18” x 18” area. After spreading, work it thoroughly at 4000-5000 orbits per minute (speed 4-5 on most dual action machine polishers) until only an oily film remains. Buff off the film carefully using a PB Super Buffing Towel.
For best results using a rotary polisher, you should work Wolf's Chemicals Heavy Cut Polish using a Lake Country 140 mm Rotary H-T Cutting Pad. Only 1-2 pea-sized drops of product are required per 18” x 18” area. You should work it thoroughly at 1500-2000 revolutions per minute (speed 3-4 on most rotary polishers) using the zenith method until only an oily film remains. Buff off the film carefully using a PB Super Buffing Towel.
