The Swissvax Vinyl Clear Kit contains all the products you need to restore and protect flexible vinyl windows in convertible tops, and is supplied in a neat storage bag. Swissvax Cleaner Fluid VC is an ultra fine micro-abrasive polish designed to remove cloudiness, yellowing and fine scratches in plastic screens. In a single step it polishes and prepares vinyl surfaces in readiness for the addition of wax protection. Swissvax Plastic is a special wax designed specifically for vinyl and plastic applications, and is capable of filling minor residual defects in addition to creating a long lasting ultra glossy shine that repels water and grime. All in all, the Swissvax Vinyl Clear Kit is a potent tool for restoring and protecting flexible windows in convertible tops, and in many cases makes the idea of costly replacement purchases redundant.
This kit comprises...
1 x Swissvax Cleaner Fluid VC (50 ml)
1 x Swissvax Plastic (50 ml)
1 x Swissvax Cleaner Fluid Pad
...and comes supplied in a small Swissvax bag, along with a Swissvax Cotton Towel.
Step 1 - Swissvax Cleaner Fluid VC
For best results, Swissvax Cleaner Fluid VC should be applied to freshly washed and dried vinyl windows using a Swissvax Cleaner Fluid Pad. Only 3-4 pea-sized drops of product are required per window, and these should be worked in as thinly and evenly as possible using light downward pressure. The resulting film should be buffed off immediately using either a Swissvax Cotton Towel or a Swissvax Micro Absorb Towel.
Step 2 - Swissvax Plastic
Swissvax Plastic Screen Wax should only be applied by hand. Warm the wax first by rubbing it with your fingertips in a gentle circular motion. Then, apply the wax sparingly with your fingertips to the prepared surface. The resulting film should then be buffed off within 2 minutes of application using either a Swissvax Cotton Towel or a Swissvax Micro Polish Towel; there is absolutely no need to allow the film to dry fully before it is removed (if you do, you will find that is more difficult to remove).
Care instructions for applicators and towels
(i) wash after each use in a washing machine at a low temperature (40 °C) using a non-biological liquid detergent (avoid soap powders and detergents containing bleach or fabric softeners); (ii) allow to dry naturally on a line or tumble dry on a cool heat setting (avoid radiators and other sources of high heat), and; (iii) store in a dry, dust-free environment whilst not in use (lidded plastic storage boxes are ideal in this respect).
