Raceglaze Wash & Wax Shampoo

It is rare for us to step out of our comfort zone with regard to car care products, and the inclusion of a shampoo containing a healthy dose of carnauba wax is therefore a notable event! Wash and wax style shampoos have long been the mainstay of the high street, offering non-enthusiasts a way to wash and protect their cars in one easy step... or so the labelling says. In reality, many products in this category have proven to be overly strong and to add little, if any, paint protection. In addition, many have shown a tendency to leave a streaky finish after drying off. Consequently, we have up until now generally avoided such products, but after testing Raceglaze Wash & Wax Shampoo our views have mellowed somewhat as this really is a good shampoo that works well without being overly strong or being prone to leaving a streaky finish. As a result, it is an ideal choice for washing and maintaining the finishes produced by the Raceglaze Signature Series paste waxes, and can also safely be used on surfaces protected with any of the other natural carnauba waxes we offer in our store.

Raceglaze Wash & Wax Shampoo is formulated using the same pure Brazilian No.1 carnauba wax found in the Raceglaze Signature Series paste waxes, and thus actively helps to maintain protective wax layers on your car. A luxurious foaming action also greatly increases the lubricity of the wash solution, which minimises the risk of inflicting fine scratches during the washing process, while the gentle nature of the formula means that it will not degrade existing wax protection. Suitable for use on even delicate clearcoated surfaces, this ultra-rich conditioning shampoo enhances gloss and leaves surfaces feeling super slick.

For best results, use at a dilution rate of 325:1 (water:product), which equates to 40 ml in a PB Clear Wash Bucket (each bottle contains enough shampoo for approximately 25 washes). Simply add the correct amount of shampoo to your suds bucket and then fill rapidly to the top with warm tap water. If your water pressure is low and relatively few suds are produced, blast some cold water into the bucket with your hose – this will quickly generate more suds.
