Very few pre-wax cleaners and glazes manage to combine massive cleaning power with massive filling power; in many cases these two performance characteristics are mutually exclusive. However, R222 Gloss Enhancing Paintwork Cleanser breaks the mould by offering phenomenal deep cleaning abilities along with the best filling properties we've yet seen from a pre-wax cleaner. Indeed, it is by far the best filling product we currently sell, and outperforms the glazes we sell in this respect. A further notable performance benefit is that it can be layered, which reinforces its filling effect. This seems counter-intuitive (due to its massive cleaning power) but the proof is always in the pudding so to speak, and experience has shown this to be the case. In our opinion, R222 Gloss Enhancing Paintwork Cleanser is a vastly underrated product, and well worth adding to your detailing arsenal.
R222 Gloss Enhancing Paintwork Cleanser is a non-abrasive chemical polish and glaze that does away with the need for separate decontamination and glazing steps. It is designed to remove bonded surface contaminants (such as industrial fallout and bug splatter) and dramatically enhance gloss in order to create the illusion that paint is dripping wet ahead of an application of premium wax protection. During the application process, advanced chemical cleaning agents strip away any residual grime and old layers of sealant or wax protection, while kaolin clay particles and glazing oils visually reduce the extent of wash marring and minor swirl marks by filling such defects and robbing sunlight of sharp edges off of which to reflect.
R222 Gloss Enhancing Paintwork Cleanser can be applied equally well by hand or using a dual action polisher. For best results by hand, it should be applied using a Meguiar's Even Coat Microfiber Applicator Pad. Only 3-4 pea-sized drops of product are required per panel, and these should be worked in using light to moderate pressure to produce a film that should then be allowed to dry for up to 10 minutes. Once hazed over, this film should then be buffed off carefully using a PB Super Buffing Towel. For best results using a dual action polisher, R222 Gloss Enhancing Paintwork Cleanser should be applied using a Lake Country 140 mm Hydro-Tech Finishing Pad. Only 3-4 pea-sized drops of product are required per panel, and these should be worked in thoroughly at around 3000-4000 orbits per minute (speed 3-4 on most dual action machine polishers) until only a thin film remains. After being allowed to haze over for up to 10 minutes, this film should then be buffed off carefully using a PB Super Buffing Towel.
