R222 Concours Look Kit
Many years ago, before the idea of setting up a car care business even came into our minds, we tried out R222 Concours Look Carnauba Wax. I can still vividly recall how impressed we were with its ease of application and the insanely wet looking finish it produced. However, what didn't impress us back then was its limited durability; even layered twice, we failed to see it last more than four weeks at a time. Consequently, when we launched Polished Bliss we overlooked it in favour of numerous other, more durable, waxes. In the time since then, we have tried out many dozens of different waxes, and have come to the conclusion that durability isn't the be all and end all. Sometimes it's nice to have a reason to detail your car on a frequent basis, and for this reason we have now decided to introduce R222 Concours Look Carnauba Wax to our store. In simple terms, it's a pure joy to use and delivers a jaw dropping finish at a very reasonable price point. If you love using car waxes and durability is not important to you, make sure you try this product as it really is one of the best looking and easiest to apply waxes available today.
This kit comprises...
1 x R222 Gloss Enhancing Paintwork Cleanser (350 ml)
1 x R222 Concours Look Carnauba Wax (200 ml)
1 x Meguiar's Microfibre Applicator Pad
2 x Poorboy's Deluxe Mega Towels
...and offers a saving of 10% over buying the included products separately.
R222 Gloss Enhancing Paintwork Cleanser should be applied using the supplied Meguiar’s Microfibre Applicator Pad. Only 3-4 pea-sized drops of product are required per panel, and these should be worked in using light to moderate pressure to produce a film that should then be allowed to dry for up to 10 minutes. Once hazed over, this film should then be buffed off carefully using one of the supplied Poorboy’s Deluxe Mega Towels.
Step 2 – R222 Concours Look Carnauba Wax
R222 Concours Look Carnauba Wax should be applied one panel at a time and as thinly and evenly as possible using the supplied foam applicator pad; in this case less is definitely more. The resulting film should then be buffed off immediately using one of the supplied Poorboy’s Deluxe Mega Towels; the film is designed to be taken off whilst still wet and must not be allowed to dry fully.
Care instructions for applicators and towels
(i) wash after each use in a washing machine at a low temperature (40 °C) using a non-biological liquid detergent (avoid soap powders and detergents containing bleach or fabric softeners); (ii) allow to dry naturally on a line or tumble dry on a cool heat setting (avoid radiators and other sources of high heat), and; (iii) store in a dry, dust-free environment whilst not in use (lidded plastic storage boxes are ideal in this respect).
