Poorboy's EX Sealant with Carnauba

Poorboy's EX Sealant with Carnauba is one of the best value for money synthetic paint sealants on the market today, and delivers an excellent finish characterised by a truly liquid-like level of glossiness. Like most synthetic paint sealants containing carnauba wax, it falls down a little bit in terms of flake pop and reflectivity, but more than makes up for this in terms of slickness and richness. Easy to apply by hand or dual action machine, we recommend using Poorboy's EX Sealant with Carnauba on solid mid-tone finishes including reds, yellow and blues, as it makes such colours look like they are about to pop right in front of you.

Poorboy's EX Sealant with Carnauba combines an amino-functional resin with pure carnauba wax to give outstanding levels of gloss and durability on solid coloured paints. It can be layered to build up additional gloss and protection, and can be topped with further coats of wax protection to give an even deeper shine if desired. Following easy application, Poorboy's EX Sealant with Carnauba effectively adds a layer of transparent protection to painted surfaces that stubbornly resists the British elements for two to three months at a time.

Poorboy’s EX Sealant with Carnauba can be applied equally well by hand or dual action machine. For best results by hand, it should be applied to freshly polished paint using a damp Meguiar’s Microfibre Applicator Pad. Only 2-3 pea-sized drops of product are required per panel, and these should be applied as thinly and evenly as possible to produce a film that should then be allowed to cure for up to 30 minutes. Once hazed over, this film should then be buffed off carefully using a Poorboy’s Deluxe Mega Towel.

For best results using a dual action polisher, Poorboy’s EX Sealant with Carnauba should be applied to freshly polished paint using a Lake Country 140 mm Ultimate Last Step Pad. Only 1-2 pea-sized drops of product are required per panel, and these should be worked in thoroughly at around 3000-4000 orbits per minute (speed 3-4 on most dual action machine polishers) until only a thin film remains. After being allowed to haze over for up to 30 minutes, this film should then be buffed off carefully using a Poorboy’s Deluxe Mega Towel.
