Poorboy's Dark Glaze & Wax Kit

If you are desperate to achieve an amazing looking finish on your dark coloured car but have limited funds to spend, then we recommend that you consider this kit because, in our opinion, it is in a league of its own at the entry level end of the market and offers exceptional value for money. The foundation stone of the Poorboy's finish for darker coloured cars is an initial application of Poorboy's Black Hole Glaze, which masks minor paint defects (such as wash marring and fine swirl marks) and dramatically enhances surface gloss in order to create the illusion that the paint is dripping wet. We recommend using this brilliant product at least three or four times a year, as it hides minor surface marring superbly and produces a slick show car shine ready for fresh coats of wax protection. Quite possibly the best low-priced natural carnauba wax on the market today and also one of the best smelling car care products ever, Poorboy's Natty's Blue Paste Wax is incredibly easy to apply and buff off, and delivers an extremely rich, wet looking shine that beads water amazingly well. Maintenance of the Poorboy's finish for darker coloured cars is easily performed using Poorboy's Quick Detailer Plus. This quick detailing spray adds terrific depth and gloss by laying down a super slick layer of Brazilian No.1 carnauba wax and gloss enhancing polymers, and is ideal for use after washing and drying, and for removing fingerprints and other fresh blemishes at shows.

Step 1 – Poorboy’s Black Hole Glaze

Poorboy’s Black Hole Glaze should be applied to freshly clayed paint using the supplied Meguiar’s Microfibre Applicator Pad. Only 3-4 pea-sized drops of product are required per panel and these should be wiped in as thinly and evenly as possible to produce a film that should then be allowed to dry for up to 15 minutes. Once hazed over, this film should then be buffed off carefully using the supplied PB Super Buffing Towel.

Step 2 – Poorboy’s Natty’s Blue Paste Wax

Poorboy’s Natty’s Blue Paste Wax should be applied as thinly and evenly as possible using the supplied Meguiar’s Foam Applicator Pad. The resulting film should be left to cure for between 5-10 minutes and then buffed off carefully using one of the supplied Poorboy’s Deluxe Mega Towels.

Step 3 – Poorboy’s Quick Detailer Plus

Lightly mist Poorboy’s Quick Detailer Plus over a single panel at a time and immediately wipe the panel down to spread a thin, even film of product using one of the supplied Poorboy’s Deluxe Mega Towels. Then refold your towel and buff the panel down carefully to fully remove the film and reveal an intense streak-free shine.

Care instructions for applicators and towels

(i) wash after each use in a washing machine at a low temperature (40 °C) using a non-biological liquid detergent (avoid soap powders and detergents containing bleach or fabric softeners); (ii) allow to dry naturally on a line or tumble dry on a cool heat setting (avoid radiators and other sources of high heat), and; (iii) store in a dry, dust-free environment whilst not in use (lidded plastic storage boxes are ideal in this respect).
