Every now and again we get a car in that makes us nearly faint when we first view it under artificial lighting, due to the severity of the defects present. Strangely, such cars are almost always large estates or four wheel drive vehicles, meaning a much greater area of paint has to be corrected! In the case of the three year old Range Rover Vogue shown below, it was immediately obvious that a very long machine polishing session was going to be required in order to restore the paint to its former glory. After carefully washing and claying the car, we moved it inside for what ended up being over 20 hours of paint correction work. So severe were the defects that an intensive two stage process had to be implemented; the first involved cutting back the paint heavily to remove the defects, and the second involved refining the finish in order to restore maximum gloss. With the bodywork restored to perfection, we protected the freshly polished surfaces with a bespoke premium carnauba wax. The engine and interior were then fully cleansed and dressed, and all of the remaining exterior details attended to. In total, more than 29 hours were spent on this Major Paint Correction Detail over the course of four days, but the end result was worth it and demonstrates why we have rapidly acquired an unrivalled reputation for delivering outstanding results no matter what we are faced with.
