BLACKFIRE Clay Lubricant is an ideal partner for use with the BLACKFIRE Clay Mitt, as its super slippery formula significantly lessens the risk of inflicting surface marring and makes the decontamination process virtually effortless. Moreover, unlike many quick detailers that double up as clay lubricants, BLACKFIRE Clay Lubricant does not contain any gloss enhancing oils or protective polymers, meaning that your paint will remain perfectly bare in readiness for polishing or the addition of sealant or wax protection.
BLACKFIRE Clay Lubricant is designed to work properly with all clay bars and towels, regardless of their grade or texture. It creates a very thin low-friction barrier layer between the paint and the clay bar or towel that greatly lessens the risk of inflicting surface marring during the decontamination process. It should also be noted that unlike shampoo solutions and quick detailers, BLACKFIRE Clay Lubricant will not break down or otherwise degrade the integrity or performance of the clay bar or towel being used.
BLACKFIRE Clay Lubricant is designed to work optimally with the BLACKFIRE Clay Mitt, although it works well with other clay products too. When you are ready to start (after washing and rinsing your car first, and treating the bodywork and glass with both tar and iron removers), soak the first panel or window you intend to treat with it and, using next to no pressure, begin rubbing the mitt over it in straight lines in all directions. Initially you may feel some resistance (as the mitt encounters contaminants), but this will gradually ease until the mitt glides freely, indicating that the process is complete. Rinse the mitt thoroughly after each panel or window (to help keep it as clean as possible) and repeat these steps until all of the bodywork and glass is done. Finally, either foam or wash the car again afterwards (to remove all traces of the lubricant) and then rinse it thoroughly and dry off. Note that if you drop the mitt at any point you must immediately rinse it off, otherwise you run the risk of damaging your car.
