This flagship nanotechnology kit from Nanolex contains everything you need to clean and seal your exterior glass for upwards of twelve months at a time. The initial decontamination step is tackled with Nanolex Glass Polish. This is a water-based polish that uses quartz micro-abrasives and citric acid to remove all traces of bonded surface contamination and leave glass surfaces feeling perfectly smooth. The second preparation step is performed with Nanolex EX. This is an alcohol-based chemical cleaning agent that strips all lingering traces of residual grease and grime, leaving squeaky-clean surfaces for the sealant to adhere to. Protection is then added with Nanolex Ultra Glass Sealant. This is an advanced nanotechnology coating that lays down a hydrophobic barrier layer that repels rain, sleet and snow upon contact. As a result, rain drops and road spray simply bead up and roll off of treated surfaces, or are blown off by airflow when driving speeds rise above 30 mph. In addition, this beading also tends to pick up and carry away fresh dirt and grime, meaning that the coating is partially self-cleaning (akin to the Lotus Effect in nature).
Step 1 - Nanolex Glass Polish
Before using Nanolex Glass Polish, shake the bottle vigorously to ensure that the contents are fully mixed. Next, fold one of the supplied Nanolex Microfibre Buffing Towels in half and then half again, and lightly wet it with 3-4 pea-sized drops of product. Then, work the product in to the surfaces to be treated in a circular fashion, using moderate speed and firm pressure. Continue to work the product in until the surface becomes completely clear and free of residue. If any residue persists, mist it with Nanolex EX, refold the towel and continue buffing until it clears.
Step 2 - Nanolex EX
Nanolex EX should be applied in a well-ventilated space out of direct sunlight. To protect your skin, we recommend wearing PB Nitrile Gloves during the application process. For best results, lightly mist Nanolex EX over small sections at a time (up to 18" x 18" square) and then immediately buff it off using one of the supplied Nanolex Microfibre Buffing Towels.
Step 3 - Nanolex Ultra Glass Sealant
Nanolex Ultra Glass Sealant should be applied in a warm, dry, well-ventilated space out of direct sunlight. To protect your skin, we recommend wearing PB Nitrile Gloves during the application process. Before applying the coating, shake the bottle vigorously to ensure that the contents are fully mixed. Next, lightly wet one of the supplied Nanolex Cotton Applicator Pads with product and work it in to the surfaces to be treated in a circular fashion, using firm pressure. The resulting film should be left to dry for a minimum of 30 minutes before being buffed off with one of the supplied Nanolex Microfibre Buffing Towels, so we recommend treating all of the exterior glass in one go. The coating must then be allowed to cure for a minimum of 12 hours before being exposed to the elements (please note that you should avoid washing the car for a minimum of 72 hours following application).
Care instructions for applicators and towels
(i) discard cotton applicators after use; (ii) wash microfibre towels after each use in a washing machine at a low temperature (40 °C) using a non-biological liquid detergent (avoid soap powders and detergents containing bleach or fabric softeners); (iii) allow microfibre towels to dry naturally on a line or tumble dry on a cool heat setting (avoid radiators and other sources of high heat), and; (iv) store unused cotton applicators and clean microfibre towels in a dry, dust-free environment whilst not in use (lidded plastic storage boxes are ideal in this respect).
