Nanolex Textile & Leather Sealant

Nanolex Textile & Leather Sealant is an advanced chemical nanotechnology coating that lays down an invisible, breathable and highly flexible barrier that repels liquids and soiling. We have recently begun using it on a regular basis in our studio to add water repellency and stain protection to interior fabrics and floor mats. Able to withstand mechanical wear for up to a year at a time and virtually impervious to soft drink spillages inside the car, it is one of those products that pays for itself in terms of the benefits it brings. Nanolex Textile & Leather Sealant is an advanced nanotechnology coating that forms a semi-permanent water and oil repellent barrier on all automotive textiles, including fabrics and leathers. Developed in Germany, Nanolex Textile & Leather Sealant utilises a non-volatile water-based delivery system to lay down a self organising interlaced molecular net of nano-scale organic compounds and inorganic salts to form an invisible, breathable and highly flexible anti-detention coating that chemically bonds to textile surfaces at the molecular level. Following application, everyday spillages simply bead up and roll off of treated surfaces, helping to prevent stains from forming and enabling easy mopping up.

Nanolex Textile & Leather Sealant should be applied in a dry, well ventilated environment out of direct sunlight. Users should be careful to avoid inhaling the product during the application process, and should also read the manufacturers technical advice carefully prior to use. Surfaces to be treated with Nanolex Textile & Leather Sealant should be spotlessly clean and dry prior to starting the application process. If any pre-treatment cleaning is required, a dedicated fabric or leather cleaner should be used and the treated surfaces then left to dry naturally.

Nanolex Textile & Leather Sealant should be sprayed on evenly and then left for several hours to dry fully. Once dry, we recommend lightly misting the newly protected surfaces with water, as this will enable you to spot any areas where insufficient protection has been added (the telltale sign is a lack of prominent water beading). If such areas are apparent, a further application should be made to ensure that maximum protection is achieved. Any overspray onto adjacent surfaces should be wiped away immediately with an Atomiza Microfibre Work Towel.
