Although the microfilm finishes produced by both Nanolex Professional Paint & Alloy Sealant and Nanolex Premium Paint & Alloy Sealant offer excellent levels of protection against the elements, they are themselves subject to continual environmental degradation and should thus be repaired and refreshed from time to time. Nanolex Premium Spray Sealant is the ideal product for this task, as it quickly and efficiently lays down a fresh coat of ultra smooth, fully compatible nano-scale protection.

However, the usefulness of Nanolex Premium Spray Sealant extends well beyond its role as a simple maintenance product, for it too offers excellent protection against bird droppings, bug splatter, brake dust, road salt and harmful UV radiation for up to six months at a time, even when applied to previously unprotected surfaces. Furthermore, it can also be safely applied to polished metal surfaces and all exterior plastics, making it a highly versatile addition to the already excellent Nanolex range.

Nanolex Premium Spray Sealant is an advanced nanotechnology coating that simultaneously protects and enhances the appearance of polished metals and exterior plastics in addition to all painted surfaces. Nanolex Premium Spray Sealant utilises a sol-gel wet chemical technique to lay down a self organising interlaced molecular net of silica and nano-scale silicone components to form an extremely smooth, fully transparent glass-like coating that chemically bonds to treated surfaces at the molecular level.

As a result of being coated with this ultra smooth layer of nano-structures, treated surfaces become more reflective, super hydrophobic (contact angle > 150°) and partially self cleaning (super hydrophobicity results in more contaminants being picked up and carried away by strong water beading rather than deposited in situ, akin to the Lotus Effect in nature). This characteristic greatly reduces the need for regular maintenance, and makes washing easier and less time consuming when required.

For best results, lightly mist Nanolex Premium Spray Sealant over a single panel at a time and immediately wipe the panel down to spread a thin, even film of product using a Poorboy’s Deluxe Mega Towel. Then, refold your towel and buff the panel down carefully to fully remove the film and reveal an intense streak-free shine. If you wish, you can apply multiple coats in succession, as long as you allow a 60 minute curing time between each coat; whenever we work with Nanolex Premium Spray Sealant we typically apply 2-3 coats over a period of several hours, as the resulting finish is truly awesome in terms of looks and durability.
