Menzerna Power Gloss

Menzerna Power Gloss is an aggressive polishing compound designed to restore dull, oxidised, neglected paint and remove major paint defects (severe swirl marks and scratches) in harder clear coats and finishes. With twice the amount of milled aluminium- oxide particles and hence twice the cutting power of Menzerna Intensive Polish, this polishing compound has revolutionised the paint correction process as it is capable of removing severe swirl marks and deep scratches in tough clear coats without leaving any surface hazing. These characteristics are rare, as hazing is a normal result of compounding and is typically removed by further polishing steps using increasingly finer polishes until a high gloss finish is restored. However, Menzerna Power Gloss creates so little haze that it is often possible to go straight from compounding to adding wax or sealant protection without an intervening polishing step. In cases where an intervening polishing step is required (often on darker coloured cars) the amount of additional polishing required is significantly reduced, saving time and effort.

For those of you interested in the technical specification, the abrasives in Menzerna Power Gloss are a fraction of the size normally found in polishing compounds and milled to a uniformity of size that is unheard of in other brands. This uniformity of size is a Menzerna trademark and the main factor contributing to the reduction in hazing. In addition, the abrasives are designed to fracture under heat and pressure into progressively finer and finer particles. As particle size decreases, Menzerna Power Gloss starts to behave like a finishing polish and thus progressively reduces its own compounding haze. Like all Menzerna compounds and polishes, Menzerna Power Gloss comprises a water-based formula containing no silicones or fillers, meaning that it will not soften or affect the curing of fresh paint and that defect removal is permanent rather than temporary. For best results, we recommend using this product in conjunction with a rotary polisher and 3M 150 mm Perfect-it III Compounding Pads, or a dual action polisher and Lake Country 100 mm CCS Technology Light Cut Spot Pads. Note that this product is one of the most aggressive polishing compounds available on the market and is only intended for use with machine polishers.
