Menzerna has been making abrasives and polishing compounds since 1888, and stands today as Germany's largest and most respected manufacturer of automotive polishing products. If you ever take a look at their website, you will be amazed at the sheer range of specialist polishing products they have available, most of which are patent protected and thus reflective of the high degree of innovation that Menzerna brings to the marketplace. We have directly used and tested all of the automotive polishes that are currently available for aftermarket use, and trying to settle on specific products to carry in our store has not been easy. Menzerna Final Polish II makes the cut because it remains the safest and most effective finishing polish for use on soft paint finishes on the market today. Whether working by hand or dual action machine, Menzerna Final Polish II is a joy to use for refining even the most delicate clearcoated finishes ahead of the application of sealant or wax protection, and is thus ideal for both home and professional use.
Menzerna Final Polish II is designed to permanently remove paint defects such as such as swirl marks, polishing holograms and wash marring from soft paint finishes and leave a superior high gloss finish ready for the addition of sealant or wax protection. It does this by burnishing surfaces to a micro-smooth highly reflective finish using very fragile, precision-milled aluminium oxide particles suspended in a base of lubricating oils. Unlike many other polishes, it contains no fillers of any kind, meaning that defect removal is permanent rather than temporary. Because of the fragility of the abrasives used, Menzerna Final Polish II is an ideal finishing polish for use on soft paint finishes, whether fresh or factory cured, and can be used equally well by hand or dual action machine.
Menzerna Final Polish II can be applied by hand or dual action machine, although for best results we strongly recommend the latter. By hand, it should be applied to freshly clayed or compounded paint using a Lake Country Polishing Hand Pad. Only 1-2 pea-sized drops of product are required to polish a 12” x 12” area, and these should be worked in as firmly and evenly as possible until only a thin haze remains. This haze should then be buffed off carefully using a Poorboy’s Super Thick & Plush Towel. For best results using a dual action polisher, Menzerna Final Polish II should be applied to freshly clayed paint using a Lake Country 140 mm Polishing Pad. Only 3-4 pea-sized drops of product are required per 18” x 18” area, and these should be worked in thoroughly at around 4000-5000 orbits per minute (speed 4-5 on most dual action machine polishers) until only a thin film remains. This film should then be buffed off carefully using a Poorboy’s Super Thick & Plush Towel.
