Menzerna Power Finish (203S)

One of the biggest problems that can trip you up when correcting defects in soft paint finishes is micromarring. This refers to a faint pattern of tightly defined swirl marks caused by unbroken down abrasives scouring the surface of the paint. It typically appears if you use a compound that is too robust for the hardness of the paint you are working on. Alternatively, it can arise if you fail to work the compound you are using for long enough. The trick to avoiding micromarring on soft paint finishes is to use a well-lubricated compound containing fragile abrasives. Menzerna Power Finish (203S) fits this bill perfectly.
Menzerna Power Finish (203S) is a light cutting compound designed to remove minor paint defects. It works by using precision-milled aluminium oxide particles to cut away a thin layer of paint. These particles are relatively fragile, and break down relatively quickly and easily during use. This makes Menzerna Power Finish (203S) ideal for general correction work on soft paint finishes, where micromarring can otherwise be a problem if more robust abrasives are used. Long lasting lubricants maximise its working time, while its filler-free formula ensures that defect removal is permanent rather than temporary.
You can use Menzerna Power Finish (203S) by hand or machine, although for best results we recommend the latter. By hand, apply Menzerna Power Finish (203S) with either a Lake Country Hydro-Tech Cutting Hand Pad or a Lake Country Hydro-Tech Polishing Hand Pad. Only 1-2 pea-sized drops of product are required per 12 x 12 area. You should work it as firmly and evenly as possible until only an oily film remains. Buff off the film carefully using a PB Super Buffing Towel.

For best results using a dual action polisher, apply Menzerna Power Finish (203S) with a Lake Country 140 mm Hydro-Tech Polishing Pad. Only 3-4 pea-sized drops of product are required per 18 x 18 area. After spreading, work it thoroughly at 4000-5000 orbits per minute (speed 4-5 on most dual action machine polishers) until only an oily film remains. Buff off the film carefully using a PB Super Buffing Towel.

For best results using a rotary polisher, apply Menzerna Power Finish (203S) with a Lake Country 140 mm Rotary H-T Polishing Pad. Only 1-2 pea-sized drops of product are required per 18 x 18 area. You should work it thoroughly at 1500-2000 revolutions per minute (speed 3-4 on most rotary polishers) using the zenith method until only an oily film remains. Buff off the film carefully using a PB Super Buffing Towel.
