Meguiar's Ultra Finishing Polish (#205)

At the start of 2009, Meguiar's released a brand new finishing polish that once again moved the game on and set a new standard of excellence in the marketplace. In simple terms, Meguiar's Ultra Finishing Polish (#205) delivers a superior high gloss finish in a very short space of time and is a joy to use in situations where minor defect removal is required on harder paint types. Users should note that it works quickly and should thus be used accordingly; any attempt to overwork it will result in dusting and will also make the residue harder to buff off. In the time since it was first released, Meguiar's Ultra Finishing Polish (#205) has seen more use in our studio than any other finishing polish and has become an essential part of our line up that we could now not be without.
Meguiar's Ultra Finishing Polish (#205) is a fast acting ultra-fine liquid abrasive that is designed to permanently remove minor paint defects such as such as faint swirl marks, polishing holograms and wash marring from original and refinished paintwork and leave a superior high gloss finish ready for the addition of sealant or wax protection. Comprising a unique blend of precision-milled non-diminishing micro-abrasives (Super Micro-Abrasive Technology, or SMAT for short), Meguiar's Ultra Finishing Polish (#205) offers distinct advantages in terms of finish quality and working time. Furthermore, it performs equally well whether used in conjunction with dual action or rotary machine polishers, making it ideal for both home and professional use.
Meguiars Ultra Finishing Polish (#205) can be applied by hand or machine, although for best results we strongly recommend the latter. By hand, it should be applied to freshly clayed paint using either a Lake Country Hydro-Tech Polishing Hand Pad or a Lake Country Hydro-Tech Finishing Hand Pad. Only 1-2 pea-sized drops of product are required to polish a 12 x 12 area, and these should be worked in as firmly and evenly as possible until only a thin haze remains. This haze should then be buffed off carefully using a PB Super Buffing Towel.

For best results using a dual action polisher, Meguiars Ultra Finishing Polish (#205) should be applied to freshly clayed or compounded paint using either a Lake Country 140 mm Hydro-Tech Polishing Pad or a Lake Country 140 mm Hydro-Tech Finishing Pad. Only 3-4 pea-sized drops of product are required per 18 x 18 area, and these should be worked in thoroughly at around 4000-5000 orbits per minute (speed 4-5 on most dual action machine polishers) until only a thin film remains. This film should then be buffed off carefully using a PB Super Buffing Towel.

For best results using a rotary polisher, Meguiars Ultra Finishing Polish (#205) should be applied to freshly clayed paint using either a Lake Country 140 mm Rotary H-T Polishing Pad or a Lake Country 140 mm Rotary H-T Finishing Pad. Only 1-2 pea-sized drops of product are required per 18 x 18 area, and these should be worked in thoroughly at around 1500-2000 revolutions per minute (speed 3-4 on most rotary polishers) using the zenith method until only a thin film remains. This film should then be buffed off carefully using a PB Super Buffing Towel.
