We've been fans of Meguiar's products for many years, and we're delighted with what their new Ultimate range offers in terms of value for money and performance. However, one small niggle remains, concerning their naming conventions. Take their Ultimate Liquid Wax for example. It's a really good last step product that delivers excellent results in terms of ease of use and finish quality. However, it's not a wax. Meguiar's call it a wax because from a marketing standpoint they believe that you won't buy it unless you see the word wax in the title. But it's not a wax. It's actually a synthetic paint sealant that uses cutting edge polymers to deliver a brilliant, long lasting finish. We hope you'll try it for this reason, and this reason alone.
Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax is the most advanced liquid wax product in the current Meguiar's range. It uses cutting edge hydrophobic polymer technology to lay down a water-hating protective barrier that amplifies reflections to give incredible depth and a mirror-like shine. The formula also incorporates thin film technology, which ensures that Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax remains easy to apply and buff off, even if you are forced to work outside in hot, sunny conditions. A further benefit of this state of the art polymer blend is that it is trim friendly; it will not stain plastic or rubber surfaces or leave behind white residues.
Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax should be applied by hand. For best results, apply it to freshly polished paint using either the supplied foam applicator pad or a Meguiar's Foam Applicator Pad (try to avoid getting it on unpainted trims, but if you do then there's no need to worry, as it's designed not to stain them, even if it's left to dry). Only 2-3 pea-sized drops of product are required per panel, and these should be applied as thinly and evenly as possible to produce a film that should then be buffed off immediately using either the supplied microfibre buffing towel or a PB Deluxe Buffing Towel (there's no need to allow it to dry fully before it is removed; if you do you may find it more difficult to remove).
