Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax
Weve been fans of Meguiars products for many years, and were delighted with what their new Ultimate range offers in terms of value for money and performance. However, one small niggle remains, concerning their naming conventions. Take their Ultimate Liquid Wax for example. Its a really good last step product that delivers excellent results in terms of ease of use and finish quality. However, its not a wax. Meguiars call it a wax because from a marketing standpoint they believe that you wont buy it unless you see the word wax in the title. But its not a wax. Its actually a state of the art synthetic paint sealant that uses cutting edge polymer technology to deliver a highly satisfying user experience. We hope youll try it for this reason, and this reason alone.
Meguiars Ultimate Liquid Wax is the most advanced liquid wax product in the current Meguiars range. It uses cutting edge hydrophobic polymer technology to lay down a water hating protective barrier that amplifies reflections to give incredible depth and a mirror-like shine. The formula also incorporates thin film technology, which ensures that Meguiars Ultimate Liquid Wax remains easy to apply and buff off, even if you are forced to work outside in hot, sunny conditions. A further benefit of this state of the art polymer blend is that it is trim friendly; it will not stain plastic or rubber surfaces or leave behind white residues.
Meguiar’s Ultimate Liquid Wax can be applied equally well by hand or dual action machine. For best results by hand, it should be applied to freshly polished paint using the supplied foam applicator pad. Only 2-3 pea-sized drops of product are required per panel, and these should be applied as thinly and evenly as possible to produce a film that should then be buffed off carefully using the supplied microfibre buffing towel.
For best results using a dual action polisher, Meguiar’s Ultimate Liquid Wax should be applied to freshly polished paint using a Meguiar’s 180 mm Soft Buff 2.0 Finishing Pad. Only 1-2 pea-sized drops of product are required per panel, and these should be worked in thoroughly at around 3000-4000 orbits per minute (speed 3-4 on most dual action machine polishers) until only a thin film remains. This film should then be buffed off carefully using the supplied microfibre buffing towel.
