Unlike most other microfibre drying towels, the GYEON Q2M SOFT DRYER uses a relatively lightweight weave (340 g/m² vs typical values of 1000-1200 g/m²). Although this means that it needs to be wrung out occasionally during use, this unique design does offer some notable benefits. Firstly, unlike many rival towels, the GYEON Q2M SOFT DRYER doesn't become unwieldy or cumbersome as it soaks up water. Secondly, because it uses a lightweight weave, the GYEON Q2M SOFT DRYER is cut much larger than rival towels, meaning that you can dry larger panels in less time (assuming that you lay it out on the panel and then pat the reverse). Refreshingly different!
The Q2M SOFT DRYER is GYEON's alternative to their Q2M WAFFLE DRYER. It features a relatively lightweight but extremely soft 80:20 (polyester:polyamide) weave that is capable of soaking up enormous amounts of water. However, the biggest advantage offered by the GYEON Q2M SOFT DRYER is, as its name suggests, its extreme softness, which greatly reduces the risk of inflicting fine marring when drying off (particularly when wipe drying instead of pat drying). This risk is further diminished by the edgeless design, which is laser cut in the factory.
Care instructions: (i) wash after each use in a washing machine at a low temperature (40 °C) using a non-biological liquid detergent (avoid soap powders and detergents containing bleach or fabric softeners); (ii) allow to dry naturally on a line or tumble dry on a cool heat setting (avoid radiators and other sources of high heat), and; (iii) store in a dry, dust-free environment whilst not in use (lidded plastic storage boxes are ideal in this respect).
