Gyeon Q²M Clay comprises a mid-strength smooth-textured clay bar with a difference; unlike many rival clay bars, it is chemically resistant, which means it can be used in conjunction with strong cleaning chemicals without any fear of it dissolving or falling apart. This is a very useful feature, as it means Gyeon Q²M Clay can be used with products like Gyeon Q²M Iron to great effect, with the latter dissolving iron-rich contaminants in situ (and lubricating the former) while the former simultaneously abrades away other bonded inorganic contaminants, such as paint overspray and non-ferrous fallout. This ability to perform two decontamination steps in one makes Gyeon Q²M Clay worth its weight in gold.
Gyeon Q²M Clay is designed to remove all kinds of contaminants bonded to the surface of automotive paint and glass. It does this using moderately aggressive abrasives suspended in an ultra-fine, chemically resistant, plastic resin (polybutene). As Gyeon Q²M Clay is rubbed gently over lubricated surfaces, these abrasives gently cut away any unwanted particulates that are sitting proud of the finish, leaving treated surfaces feeling perfectly smooth to the touch. Its moderate abrasive strength makes Gyeon Q²M Clay ideal for regular use and its ultra-fine texture is unlikely to cause any surface marring, even on soft paint finishes.
For best results, use Gyeon Q²M Clay in conjunction with either Gyeon Q²M ClayLube or Gyeon Q²M Iron (we recommend wearing nitrile gloves in the latter case). Although claying is a relatively straightforward process, there are various important practical points to consider that are too numerous and involved to go into in detail about here. Therefore, if you require more detailed information about clay bars and how to use them safely and effectively, please take the time to read our illustrated guide linked in the menu above.
