GYEON Q2 LEATHERCOAT is an advanced silica-based coating for modern leather upholstery that lays down an invisible and highly hydrophobic barrier that repels liquids and soiling. Able to withstand friction and mechanical wear for upwards of six months at a time, and virtually impervious to liquids and grime, it pays for itself in terms of the benefits it offers, particularly on lighter coloured leather interiors. Just think: (i) no more drink spillage disasters when children are in your car (just a simple mopping up job instead), and; (ii) no more stubborn dye transfer problems to contend with. Another great addition to the growing GYEON range!
GYEON Q2 LEATHERCOAT is a fully functional silica-based coating that forms a semi-permanent water and grime repellent barrier on modern leather upholstery. It uses the latest in low volatile content silicon (Si) technology to lay down a film of dimethylsiloxane polymers that condense rapidly to form a highly flexible SiO2 coating that bonds to coated leather surfaces at the molecular level. Following application, treated surfaces become hydrophobic and thus virtually impervious to liquids and grime. In addition, this coating also blocks out UV radiation from the sun, and thus helps to prevent modern automotive leather from fading over time.
GYEON Q2 LEATHERCOAT should be applied in a warm, dry, well-ventilated environment out of direct sunlight. Users should wear PB Nitrile gloves, and should be careful to avoid inhaling the product during the application process. All surfaces to be treated should be spotlessly clean and dry prior to starting the application process. If any pre-treatment cleaning is required, a dedicated leather cleaner should be used and the treated surfaces then left to dry naturally.
To apply GYEON Q2 LEATHERCOAT, lightly wet a Meguiar’s Microfibre Applicator Pad with product and wipe it in evenly, using light pressure and overlapping strokes. Once all of the surfaces are treated, leave them to dry naturally for three hours and then apply a second coat (to ensure even coverage). In order to get the best performance and quoted durability from the resulting finish, allow the final coating to cure for a further three hours before using your car.
