Detailing Services > Service Options

We offer three main comprehensive detailing services for prestige and performance vehicles plus a number of related supplementary services, all of which are summarised below. If you are unsure which service option would best suit your requirements please do not hesitate to contact us for further advice.

1. All Surface Protection Detail from £295 + VAT

This detail is designed to serve as a comprehensive spring clean for your car, and comprises the following major tasks. We start out by using a warm water foaming wash procedure to safely and effectively remove all traces of loose dirt and grime from the bodywork, wheels, arches and shuts. The engine bay is also washed at this stage, using either wet or dry techniques depending on the engine type in question. We then chemically treat and clay the bodywork and exterior glass to remove any bonded surface contaminants such as tar and tree sap, which leaves these surfaces feeling perfectly smooth. The next task involves the application of a glaze to the bodywork to mask any minor defects and enhance surface gloss in readiness for wax or sealant protection. We then apply a single coat of a high quality wax or sealant to the bodywork; this not only adds valuable protection against the elements for up to four months at a time, but also significantly enhances the appearance of the paint. We then complete the exterior detail by sealing the wheels and glass, dressing the tyres, arches and engine bay, and polishing the exhaust tips if applicable. Finally, we clean, dress and vacuum the interior, and carefully feed any leather present. The entire procedure typically takes around 8 hours and can usually be completed in a single day.

• For large 4x4 vehicles this service will take one and a half days and will cost an additional £150 + VAT

• Upgrade to a more durable bespoke premium carnauba wax finish for an additional £100 + VAT

2. Minor Paint Correction Detail from £595 + VAT

This detail is designed for brand new and nearly new vehicles with minor paint defects in need of correction, and is inclusive of everything outlined above for the All Surface Protection Detail plus a single stage machine polishing process . At this point you may be asking why on earth would we need to machine polish a brand new or nearly new car?! Sadly, it is all too common for brand new vehicles to be delivered to customers with any number of defects present in the paint, such as fine scratches and polishing holograms left over from the production line. It is equally disappointing that many dealerships do not have the time or skills available on-site to correct these defects properly prior to delivery; instead, all that is typically offered is a basic valet (which often does more harm than good) and a low quality 'lifetime' protection package. We are happy to take on preparation work for new car deliveries and ensure that you receive your car in perfect condition with the very best surface treatments applied from the outset. This service is also ideal for nearly new cars that have acquired light wash marring and feint swirl marks in their first six to twelve months of use, and for vehicles regularly detailed by us that only need a light annual polish. The entire procedure usually takes around 16 hours, necessitating that the work is spread over two days.

• For large 4x4 vehicles this service will take three days and will cost an additional £300 + VAT

• Upgrade to a more durable bespoke premium carnauba wax finish for an additional £100 + VAT

The preparation process begins with the removal of the transport wraps, both inside and out
Any transport wax is then removed using degreasers in conjunction with a warm water foaming wash procedure

These defects were found on an area of the car that had been wrapped, indicating that they were inflicted on the production line; in all likelihood the car would have been handed over in this condition
With a mixture of minor paint correction work completed and various protective treatments applied, the car is now ready for collection in perfect condition

3. Major Paint Correction Detail from £895 + VAT

This detail is designed for vehicles with more serious paint defects, and is inclusive of everything outlined above for the All Surface Protection Detail, plus full correction of defects such as heavy swirl marks, light scratches and etching caused by bug remains and bird droppings. This is achieved by conducting a highly intensive two or three stage machine polishing process, which removes a small percentage of the uppermost layer of paint on the car in order to reveal a fresh layer of unblemished paint below. We can usually guarantee full correction of > 99% of paint defects present and typically require around 24 hours to complete such details, necessitating that the work is spread over three days. By restoring the condition of the bodywork to near perfect showroom condition, the high cost of this detail is usually fully offset by the positive effect on the residual value of the vehicle in question. Indeed, over the last twelve months several existing customers have actually profited from having this detail done immediately ahead of resale!

4. Bespoke Premium Carnauba Wax Top Up £195 + VAT

If you have had a bespoke premium carnauba wax applied to your car as part of one of the above comprehensive detailing services and wish to have further coats applied for aesthetic reasons, then we are happy to offer top up treatments as and when you require them provided that they are booked to take place within three months of the original service date (any longer and your car will have acquired too many bonded surface contaminants for this treatment to be worthwhile). Each treatment involves a warm water foaming wash procedure followed by the application of the wax to the bodywork, and typically takes around 4 hours to complete.

5. Paint Inspection Report £195 + VAT

Buying a new or used car can be a minefield if the dealer doesn't tell you about any pre-delivery accidents or if the history of the vehicle is unknown. This service is designed to set your mind at rest by providing a formal written report on the condition and thickness of the paint on any vehicle that you specify. Using state of the art paint thickness gauges and special lighting, we can identify paint defects and accident damage repairs on both metal and composite panels and enable you to make a better informed purchasing decision. Over the last twelve months this service has enabled several existing customers to avoid purchasing vehicles with non-disclosed accident damage repairs, and in two cases our intervention has enabled cars to be rejected after purchase when later inspection revealed them to have been involved in non-disclosed pre-delivery accidents!

6. Concours, Show and Feature Preparation POA

We are happy to take on preparation work for Concours D'Elegance events and any other major car shows or magazine features; in each case we will agree a bespoke detailing package in advance and then charge a fixed price for all work done. Several of our customers won awards at car shows in 2007 and the first half of 2008, and we look forward to helping more of our customers win such awards in the future.

The finish on this truly stunning award winning show car was perfected by hours of careful machine polishing and the application of a bespoke premium carnauba wax
