Service Options
We offer four comprehensive service options for prestige and performance cars, plus an additional maintenance detail under our loyalty scheme, all of which are fully summarised below. To book your car in please contact us using the e-mail address given above, providing us with details about your car and the service option you are interested in. If you are unsure about which service would best fit your requirements, please do not hesitate to contact us for help and advice.
This detail is designed to top up protection and maintain exterior and interior surfaces in between more intensive treatments. In each case, we start out by using a warm water foaming wash procedure to safely remove all traces of loose dirt and grime from the bodywork, wheels and door shuts. After blow drying the car, we then apply either a high quality sealant or wax to the bodywork, to match whatever product was applied when your car last received a more intensive treatment. We then complete the detail by dressing the tyres, polishing the exhaust tips, cleaning the glass and vacuuming the interior. The entire procedure typically takes around 4 hours (depending on the size of the vehicle being treated) and can usually be completed in either a morning or afternoon, although large estate cars and 4x4 vehicles may have to remain with us for an hour or two longer in some cases.
Please note that this service option is only available to loyalty scheme customers who have had at least a Protection Detail performed within the last six months. This is to ensure that the overall condition of the car will allow the listed tasks to be completed within the allotted time.

This detail is designed to comprehensively clean and protect all exterior and interior surfaces, and is recommended as a bi-annual treatment for cars used on a daily basis. In each case, we start out by using a warm water foaming wash procedure to safely remove all traces of loose dirt and grime from the bodywork, wheels, arches and shuts. The engine bay is also washed at this stage, using either wet or dry methods depending on the engine type in question. We then chemically treat and clay the paint and exterior glass to remove any bonded surface contaminants such as tar spots and tree sap, which leaves these surfaces feeling perfectly smooth. After blow drying the car with warm filtered air, we then apply a glaze to the bodywork to mask minor defects and greatly enhance surface gloss in readiness for protection.
Next we apply either a high quality sealant or wax to the bodywork; this not only adds valuable protection against the elements that lasts for up to six months at a time, but also further enhances the appearance of the finish. We then complete the exterior detail by sealing the wheels and glass, dressing the tyres, trims and engine bay, and polishing the exhaust tips. Finally, we clean, dress and vacuum the interior and condition any leather present. The entire procedure typically takes around 8 hours (depending on the size of the vehicle being treated) and can usually be completed in a full day, although large estate cars and 4x4 vehicles may have to remain with us for up to an extra half day in some cases.

This detail is designed to correct minor paint defects and enhance the visual appeal of bodywork, and is recommended for well maintained vehicles of all ages that have acquired light wash marring and faint swirl marks over time. It builds upon the full procedure outlined above for the Protection Detail by adding in a single stage machine polishing process. In each case, we start out by using a warm water foaming wash procedure to safely remove all traces of loose dirt and grime from the bodywork, wheels, arches and shuts. The engine bay is also fully washed at this stage, using either wet or dry methods depending on the engine type in question. We then chemically treat and clay the paint and exterior glass to remove any bonded surface contaminants such as tar spots and tree sap, which leaves these surfaces feeling perfectly smooth.
After blow drying the car with warm filtered air, the bodywork is then polished by machine using an ultra fine finishing polish, in order to correct minor paint defects and maximise surface gloss in readiness for protection. We then apply either a high quality sealant or wax to the bodywork, which adds valuable protection against the elements for up to six months at a time. We then complete the exterior detail by sealing the wheels and glass, dressing the tyres, trims and engine bay, and polishing the exhaust tips. Finally, we clean, dress and vacuum the interior and condition any leather present. The entire procedure typically takes around 16 hours (depending on the size of the vehicle being treated) necessitating that the work is spread over two days, although large estate cars and 4x4 vehicles may have to remain with us for up to an extra half day in some cases.
Please note that the level of correction associated with this service is not guaranteed. In all cases surface gloss will be massively enhanced, but visible defects may persist if they are too deep for the ultra fine finishing polish to fully remove.

This detail is designed to correct major paint defects and maximise the visual appeal of bodywork, and is recommended for poorly maintained vehicles of all ages that have acquired heavy swirl marks and light scratches over time. It builds upon the full procedure outlined above for the Protection Detail by adding in a multi stage machine polishing process, which removes a small percentage of the uppermost layer of paint on the car and reveals a fresh layer of unblemished paint beneath. We can usually guarantee correction of > 95% of paint defects present, although total paint thickness and defect severity are sometimes limiting factors. By restoring the condition of the bodywork to near perfect condition, the high cost of this detail is usually largely offset by the positive effect on the residual value of the vehicle in question. The entire procedure typically takes between 24-40 hours (depending on the size of the vehicle being treated) necessitating that the work is spread over three to five full days, although large estate cars and 4x4 vehicles may have to remain with us for an extra day in some cases.

We then chemically treat and clay the paint and exterior glass to remove any bonded surface contaminants such as tar spots and tree sap, which leaves these surfaces feeling perfectly smooth. After blow drying the car with warm filtered air, the bodywork is then carefully polished by machine using a selection of coarse cutting compounds and ultra fine finishing polishes, in order to correct major paint defects and maximise surface gloss in readiness for protection. We then apply either a high quality sealant or wax to the bodywork, which adds valuable protection against the elements for up to six months at a time. For much of our lives we live with compromise. We have to trade off work against play, income against expenditure and what we want against what we actually need. It is in our nature to live with compromise, but every now and again something deep inside us will refuse to bow to logic and sheer desire will take over and rule both our hearts and minds. In the case of supercars and old classics, very little about owning them makes logical sense, yet they ignite a passion within us that is sometimes impossible to resist. For owners of supercars and cherished vehicles both old and new, we are proud to offer a detailing service that puts love before money and perfection before compromise; a service not constrained by the limitations of time and one in which our talents are unchained and allowed to run riot in the quest for the ultimate finish. In other words, the ne plus ultra of detailing.
The work on the 2003 Rosso Corsa Enzo Ferrari shown in the video below is a great example of why we offer this service and what it involves. With just over 7000 km on the clock and mechanically excellent, the only thing letting the car down was the state of the bodywork, which showed all of the classic signs of years of improper washing and maintenance. Ferrari paint is usually quite soft on pre-2005 cars, but early on in the detail it became apparent that the paint on the Enzo was rock hard and was going to need compounding with wool if a near perfect result was going to be achieved. Ultimately just over 144 hours were required to complete the detail, with more than 96 hours of this time being spent carefully machine polishing the bodywork to near perfect condition. It is obviously impossible to show everything that was done to the car in just six and a half minutes, but we do hope that the following video gives you a flavour of the effort that we put into our work...
Because the condition of supercars and old classics can vary greatly with age and usage, there is no standard list of tasks that adequately defines what a Ne Plus Ultra Detail will include. However, as a bare minimum, at least 48 hours of work will be conducted over 6+ working days, with all surfaces inside and out being inspected, assessed, cleaned, polished, protected and dressed appropriately. In each case we will do whatever is necessary to achieve as close to perfection as physically possible (without resorting to replacing parts or repainting panels) and no time limit will be set; it will simply take as long as it takes. To enquire about booking your supercar or old classic in for a Ne Plus Ultra Detail, please contact us using the e-mail address given below. If requested, we can help to arrange for bodywork repairs and wheel refurbishments to be completed ahead of the detail. In addition, we can also help to arrange fully insured and fully enclosed collection and delivery services throughout the UK.
