Carlack Excellence Complete blurs the line between polishes and sealants, and waxes too, since it has excellent cleaning and light polishing properties but also lays down a basecoat of sealant protection that is fortified with Brazilian No.1 carnauba wax. It is one of our all-time favourite paint preparation products, and is the result of more than half a century of specialised research and development in paint care. It is used frequently in our studio to prepare painted surfaces thoroughly for receiving multiple coats of wax protection.
In a single application, Carlack Excellence Complete draws out deep-seated dirt and grime from painted surfaces and simultaneously lays down tough acrylic polymers and Brazilian No.1 carnauba wax to form an elastic sealing layer that is perfectly primed to receive additional coats of wax protection. We are always amazed at just how much dirt and grime Carlack Excellence Complete draws out of painted surfaces; brand new pure white Meguiar's Microfibre Applicator Pads always become grubby looking every time we use it, even after performing an extremely thorough three stage decontamination process first.
A further benefit of the intensely smooth and level coating laid down by Carlack Excellence Complete is the finish it gives, which is best described by a liquid-like level of glossiness, an incredible sense of depth and, on solid mid-tone colours, the most intense degree of colour pop imaginable. In summary, Carlack Excellence Complete is an exceptional chemical paint cleaner that also lays down a fantastic looking basecoat of acrylic protection that is fortified with top quality carnauba wax; it is definitely a product we could not be without.
Carlack Excellence Complete is neither a polish nor a sealant or a wax, but rather a non-abrasive multifunctional emulsion comprising solvent-free cleaning and conserving agents that work in tandem to clean painted surfaces and seal them with a durable wax-enriched polyethylene coating for up to six months. This unique German-made formula reflects more than five decades of specialised research and development in paint protection chemistry, and represents the state of the art in one step product technology.
The unique formula builds on the exceptional protective qualities of polyethylene-acrylic nano-scale polymers by incorporating Brazilian No.1 carnauba wax for aesthetic benefits and intensive cleaners that serve to create an exceptionally smooth surface to which the protective polymers can strongly bond. By using nano-scale polymers, an unparalleled surface coating density is achieved that greatly improves resistance to environmental threats, such as ultraviolet radiation, acid rain and the organic acids in bird droppings and bug splatter, and mechanical damage, such as wash-induced marring and scratching.
As a further benefit, the ultra-smooth surface coating ensures that low-angle incident light is brilliantly reflected to produce mirror-like images, while the presence of Brazilian No.1 carnauba wax within it lowers its refractive index sufficiently to enable more high-angle light to be absorbed by the paint system, thereby enhancing its colour intensity (a phenomenon commonly referred to as jetting). In fact, the light transmittance of the coating laid down by Carlack Excellence Complete actually exceeds that of optical glass, thus ensuring that the beauty of your paint finish will stand out with unobstructed clarity.
Carlack Excellence Complete can be applied by hand or dual action machine, but we recommend the former method for best results. For best results by hand, it should be applied to freshly decontaminated paint using a Meguiar’s Microfibre Applicator Pad. Only 3-4 pea-sized drops of product are required per panel, and these should be wiped in as firmly and evenly as possible to produce a film that should then be allowed to dry fully (out of direct sunlight). Once completely dry and hazed over, this film should then be buffed off carefully using a PB Super Buffing Towel (if the film proves difficult to remove at first, lightly mist it with a wax-compatible quick detailing spray, e.g. Meguiar’s Quik Detailer, and continue buffing).
For best results using a dual action polisher, Carlack Excellence Complete should be applied to freshly decontaminated paint using a Lake Country 140 mm Hydro-Tech Finishing Pad. Only 3-4 pea-sized drops of product are required per panel, and these should be worked in thoroughly at around 3000-4000 orbits per minute (speed 3-4 on most dual action machine polishers) until only a thin film remains. After being allowed to dry fully (out of direct sunlight), this film should then be buffed off carefully using a PB Super Buffing Towel (if the film proves difficult to remove at first, lightly mist it with a wax-compatible quick detailing spray, e.g. Meguiar’s Quik Detailer, and continue buffing).
