Carlack Cutting Compound uses clearcoat safe micro-abrasives to burnish out blemishes and produce an amazingly clear finish free of hazing and swirls. Carlack Cutting Compound is suitable for use on all paint types, and performs equally well whether used by hand or machine, making it ideal for both home and professional use. The refined formula is easy to use and ideal for removing signs of wear and tear prior to final polishing and waxing.
Carlack Cutting Compound is a fast acting liquid abrasive that permanently removes light to moderate paint defects such as fine scratches, light oxidation and brush-inflicted swirl marks. It works by using precision-milled aluminium oxide micro-abrasives to cut away a thin layer of paint. Long lasting lubricants maximise its working time, while its filler-free formula ensures that defect removal is permanent rather than temporary.
You can use Carlack Cutting Compound by hand or machine. For best results by hand, apply it with either a Lake Country Hydro-Tech Cutting Hand Pad or a Lake Country Hydro-Tech Polishing Hand Pad. Only 1-2 pea-sized drops of product are required per 12 x 12 area. You should work it as firmly and evenly as possible until only an oily film remains. Buff off the film carefully using a PB Super Buffing Towel.

For best results using a dual action polisher, apply Carlack Cutting Compound with a Lake Country 140 mm Hydro-Tech Polishing Pad. Only 3-4 pea-sized drops of product are required per 18 x 18 area. After spreading, work it thoroughly at 4000-5000 orbits per minute (speed 4-5 on most dual action machine polishers) until only an oily film remains. Buff off the film carefully using a PB Super Buffing Towel.

For best results using a rotary polisher, apply Carlack Cutting Compound with a Lake Country 140 mm Rotary H-T Polishing Pad. Only 1-2 pea-sized drops of product are required per 18 x 18 area. You should work it thoroughly at 1500-2000 revolutions per minute (speed 3-4 on most rotary polishers) using the zenith method until only an oily film remains. Buff off the film carefully using a PB Super Buffing Towel.
