Carlack Complete

Carlack Complete blurs the line between paint cleaners and sealants, since it has excellent cleaning properties but also lays down a coat of acrylic protection. It is one of our all-time favourite paint preparation products and we regularly reach for it to prepare painted surfaces for receiving further layers of sealant or wax protection. Carlack claim that Complete is the result of more than half a century of specialised research and development in paint care, and based on its incredible abilities we don't doubt this claim is true.

In a single application, Carlack Complete flushes out deep-seated dirt and grime from painted surfaces and simultaneously lays down tough acrylic polymers to form an elastic sealing layer that is perfectly primed to receive additional coats of protection. We are always amazed at just how much dirt and grime Carlack Complete flushes out of clean looking surfaces; brand new pure white Meguiar's Microfibre Applicator Pads always become grubby looking during use, even after performing an extremely thorough three stage decontamination process first.

A further benefit of the incredibly smooth and level coating laid down by Carlack Complete is the stunning finish it gives, which is best described by mirror-like reflectivity, razor sharp clarity and, on metallic and pearlescent finishes, the most intense degree of flake pop imaginable. In summary, Carlack Complete is an exceptional paint cleaner that also lays down an aesthetically pleasing layer of acrylic protection. Given its abilities, and that it can be used to clean and seal high gloss plastics and polished metals too, it's definitely a product we could not be without.
Carlack Complete is neither a polish or a sealant, but rather a non-abrasive multi-functional emulsion comprising solvent-free cleaning and conserving agents that work in tandem to intensively clean painted surfaces and seal them against the elements. This unique Swiss-made formula is the result of more than five decades of specialised research and development, and represents the state of the art in one step polymer-based paint protection technology.

The unique formula builds on the protective qualities of polyethylene-acrylic nano-scale polymers by incorporating intensive cleaners that serve to create an exceptionally smooth surface to which the protective polymers can strongly bond. By using nano-scale polymers, an unparalleled surface coating density is achieved that greatly improves resistance to environmental threats, such as ultraviolet radiation, acid rain and the organic acids in bird droppings and bug splatter, and mechanical damage, such as wash-induced marring and scratches.

As a further benefit, the ultra-smooth surface coating ensures that low-angle incident light is brilliantly reflected to produce mirror-like images, while the high refractive index of the polymers allows high-angle light to penetrate into the finish and improve flake pop. In fact, the light transmittance of the coating laid down by Carlack Complete actually rivals that of optical-grade glass, thus ensuring that the beauty of your paint stands out with unobstructed clarity.
Carlack Complete can be applied by hand or dual action machine, but we recommend the former method for best results. When working by hand, it should be applied to freshly decontaminated paint using a Meguiar's Microfibre Applicator Pad. Only 3-4 pea-sized drops of product are required per panel, and these should be worked in thoroughly to produce a thin film that should then be allowed to dry fully (out of direct sunlight). Once completely dry and hazed over, this film should be buffed off carefully using a PB Super Buffing Towel (if it proves difficult to remove at first, lightly mist it with Carlack Fast Detailer and continue buffing).

For best results using a dual action polisher, Carlack Complete should be applied to freshly decontaminated paint using a Lake Country 140 mm Hydro-Tech Finishing Pad. Only 3-4 pea-sized drops of product are required per panel, and these should be worked in thoroughly at around 3000-4000 orbits per minute (speed 3-4 on most dual action machine polishers) until only a thin film remains. After being allowed to dry fully (out of direct sunlight), this film should be buffed off carefully using a PB Super Buffing Towel (if it proves difficult to remove at first, lightly mist it with Carlack Fast Detailer and continue buffing).
