Autosmart Tardis is a must have product of ours that is used during every single detail we perform. In our opinion, it is an essential product for use in between washing and claying, as it quickly dissolves even the toughest tar, honeydew and bug splatter deposits, which greatly reduces the subsequent need for intensive claying. While it's free-rinsing formula prevents unsightly white stains from forming, care should be taken to avoid using it on freshly painted surfaces, as it does have the potential to dissolve uncured paint. In short, as long as it is used with care, Autosmart Tardis is an essential time-saving paint preparation product, and one that we happily recommend to enthusiasts and professionals alike.

Material Safety Data Sheet
Autosmart Tardis is a professional strength tar and glue remover that safely and effectively removes bonded organic contaminants from all exterior vehicle surfaces. Its solvent-based formula enables almost all forms of bonded organic contaminants to be safely removed in a relatively short space of time. Not only is this time saving a major benefit, but the risk of causing surface marring during the subsequent claying stage (which is still required for inorganic contaminant removal) is greatly reduced too, as there is far less chance of large particles of organic debris becoming trapped between the clay bar and the paint and then being moved around. The only time caution is required is when fresh paint has been applied and has not been cured, i.e. in the period immediately after a SMART repair is performed. In such cases, the use of Autosmart Tardis should be avoided as, being solvent-based, it does have the potential to dissolve fresh, uncured paint.

Autosmart Tardis is solvent-based, and should thus be used neat. For best results, wash and rinse your car as usual and then, working on one panel at a time, spray it on liberally and allow 60 seconds for it to work. Then take an Atomiza Microfibre Work Towel and wipe the panel down gently to remove any stubborn nibs of tar or honeydew, etc. Finally, rinse the panel down thoroughly with an open ended hose before moving on to the next panel. Once the whole car is done, discard the towel (don't try and wash it, because it will stink out your washing machine), rinse the whole car once more and then proceed to the claying stage in order to remove any remaining bonded inorganic contaminants.
