In their usual style, Auto Finesse took a long, hard look at the machine polishing market in the UK before developing their own system of polishes, pads and accessories. They noticed that the UK marketplace is already awash with plenty of professionally orientated machine polishing products. On the one hand, this indicates that we are already quite a sophisticated market (reflecting the fact that we Brits do love to tinker with things). However, on the other hand, this has created a situation in which beginners find themselves swamped with technical choices. And then, when they turn to forums for advice, hugely contrasting opinions on what to use and why. At best this is confusing, at worst confidence shattering and/or risky. Auto Finesse have therefore taken a bold step and developed a simple machine polishing system aimed squarely at novices. This system features conveniently colour-coded and numbered pads and polishes, which removes guesswork from the equation of what to use with what to get good results.
Auto Finesse Revitalise #2 (Polishing Compound) is an easy to use cutting polish designed to remove light to moderate paint defects. It's perfect for light correction work on modern ceramic nano-particle and scratch-resistant clearcoats, and produces top results on conventional paint types too. It works by using high quality diminishing abrasives to cut away a very thin layer of paint. Long lasting lubricants maximise its working time, while its filler-free formula ensures that defect removal is permanent rather than temporary. For best results, Auto Finesse Revitalise #2 (Polishing Compound) should be applied using a dual action machine polisher fitted with an Auto Finesse 160 mm Polishing Pad #2 (Yellow).
Auto Finesse Revitalise #2 (Polishing Compound) should be applied using a dual action machine polisher fitted with an Auto Finesse 160 mm Polishing Pad #2 (Yellow). Only 3-4 pea-sized drops of product are required per panel, and these should be worked in at around 4000-5000 orbits per minute (speed 4-5 on most dual action machine polishers) until only a thin film remains. This film should then be buffed off carefully using a PB Super Buffing Towel.
