Auto Finesse Oblitarate is another must have product from the growing Auto Finesse range; yet again James and his team have developed a product that offers exceptional performance in an enthusiast-friendly package. Every bit as good as its professionally orientated rivals, Auto Finesse Oblitarate is an essential product for use in between washing and claying, as it quickly dissolves even the toughest tar deposits, which greatly reduces the need for intensive claying. While it's free-rinsing formula prevents unsightly white stains from forming, care should be taken to avoid using it on freshly painted surfaces, as it does have the potential to dissolve uncured paint. In short, as long as it is used with care, Auto Finesse Oblitarate is an essential time-saving product, and one that is perfectly suited to the needs of detailing enthusiasts.
Auto Finesse Oblitarate is a spirit-based tar and glue remover that quickly and easily removes bonded organic contaminants from all exterior vehicle surfaces. In addition to being a time saver, it also reduces the risk of causing surface marring during the subsequent claying stage (which is still required for inorganic contaminant removal), as there is far less chance of large particles of organic debris becoming trapped between the clay bar and the paint and then being moved around. The only time caution is required is when fresh paint has been applied and has not been cured, i.e. in the period immediately after a SMART repair is performed. In such cases, the use of Auto Finesse Oblitarate should be avoided as, being spirit-based, it does have the potential to dissolve fresh, uncured paint.
Auto Finesse Oblitarate is spirit-based, and should thus be used neat. For best results, wash and rinse your car as usual and then, working on one panel at a time, spray it on liberally using an Atomiza Generic Bottle fitted with an Atomiza Chemical Spray Head and allow 60 seconds for it to work. Then take a PB Disposable Towel and wipe the panel down gently to remove any stubborn nibs of tar or honeydew, etc. Finally, rinse the panel down thoroughly with an open ended hose before moving on to the next panel. Once the whole car is done, discard the towel (don't try and wash it, because it will stink out your washing machine), rinse the whole car once more and then proceed to the claying stage in order to remove any remaining inorganic contaminants.
